The respiratory system allows us to breathe by taking in oxygen and removing carbon dioxide. Air enters through the nose or mouth and travels through the trachea into bronchi and bronchial tubes, which divide into tiny alveoli in the lungs. In the alveoli, oxygen passes into blood and carbon dioxide transfers from blood into the alveoli to be exhaled. Inspired air contains more oxygen and less carbon dioxide than expired air. This complex process happens quickly with each breath.

2. Function of the Respiratory System The Respiratory System is the group of organs and tissues that help you breath. The main parts of the system are the airways, lungs and blood vessels which are linked.

3. How we Breath? We Breath through the mouth or the nose. When we inhale, Oxygen enters the respiratory system through the larynx and also the trachea which is a tube that enters the chest cavity. The trachea splits into two smaller tubes called Bronchi. Each bronchus is then divided again which makes bronchial tubes. The bronchial tubes go directly into the lungs where they are then divided into smaller tubes why connect to the very small sacs called alveoli. The Inhaled Oxygen then passes into the alveoli and then verbose through the capillaries into arterial blood. While this is happening, the waste-rich blood from the veins releases its carbon dioxide into the alveoli and the carbon dioxide follows the same way out of the lungs when you exhale
