Difference Between Spanish And English Colonization
During the 15th through 17th centuries, advancements in technology and the desire for new resources
spurred the exploration of the New World for both Spain and England. Spain s interest in exploration
soon surpassed the rest of the countries in the Old World and the nation began to claim the majority of
territory in Central and South America. Spain sent conquistadores to assert their dominance in the
New World through violent conquest which resulted in difficult relations with native populations.
Although the English did not settle in North America until the early 17th century, well past the period
of the Spanish conquest, their methods of colonization were more successful in the long term. The
English were able to find economic success ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This caused a trade imbalance, thus hurting the Spanish economy and making it harder for the
colonies in the New World to become successful settlements. Because the Spanish Crown had little
interest in creating long lasting colonies in New World for any purpose other than to gain wealth for
the mother country, the group of Spaniards that came to America only consisted of conquistadores,
missionaries, and soldiers. It is important to note that no Spanish women made the journey to the
Americas, which contributed to Spain s issue with founding substantial settlements. All of these
factors made it difficult for Spain to benefit off colonization because the country lacked a strong,
stable economy in the New World. On the other hand, England was able to establish permanent
settlements in the Americas more efficiently than the Spanish because the purpose of colonization was
not solely to acquire wealth, but also to flee religious and political persecution. Since British colonists
had a comparatively more compelling reason to inhabit the Americas than the Spanish, they were
more likely to permanently settle and contribute to the economy through commerce and agriculture.
Their economic situation differed from the Spanish because instead of earning wealth through
conquest and exploitation, industry in English colonies was based on farming, fishing, and exports like
tobacco and lumber. The economy was also more

William Buffalo Bill Cody Essay
William Buffalo Bill Cody
Buffalo Bill was one of the most interesting figures of the old west, and the best known spokesman of
the new west. Buffalo Bill was born in 1846 and his real name was William Frederick Cody. Cody was
many things. He was a trapper, bullwhacker, Colorado Fifty Niner ;, Pony Express rider, Civil War
soldier, wagonmaster, stagecoach driver, and even a manager of a hotel. He changed his name to
Buffalo Bill sometime in his early twenties for his skill while supplying railroad workers with buffalo
meat. He would soon begin his career as one of the most famous prairie scouts of the Indian Wars.
Buffalo Bill worked the army from 1868 1872. Cody was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor
in 1872. He was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Only Egypt s fame opposed the Wild West as the talk of Chicago at the World s Columbian Exposition
in 1893. His show exhibited many famous people, such as Annie Oakley and Sitting Bull. By the 1900
s, Buffalo Bill could have possibly been the most famous and recognizable man in the entire world.
The Wild West s great success began on nostalgia for the passing frontier that swept the nation in the
late 1800 s. However, Buffalo Bill never looked backward. Towards the end of his life, a famous quote
of his was All my interests are still with the west the modern west ;.
Cody used his glory and fame as a platform for his western causes. His western causes were fighting
for the rights of Indians and women, and also for conservation. Even as early as 1879, Buffalo Bill
warned the federal government to not make promises to them that could be broken. He knew that
Indian conflicts would be caused by broken government promises. He also knew what the Indian was
fighting for, because their entire history was in America, and they felt it was their country.
Buffalo Bill was a fair man, as well. He was quoted in 1894 as saying to a woman reporter who asked
whether he thought the majority of women were qualified to vote that they were as well qualified as
the majority of men. If a woman can do the same work that a man can do and do it just as well, she
should have the same pay ;.
Very early on, Buffalo Bill realized that a

Getting Sick Monologue
Getting sick sucks. I hate not being able to sleep at night or just be able to function like a normal
human being. Getting sick just makes me feel like I have 1000 elephants that is stuck in my head. It s
how I feel right now, I ve caught the common cold. It is during these times that I wish that I was
invincible and I could never catch the cold. I can t function as well as I usually can. I try to talk to
people and while in mid sentence I have to run back to the bathroom because my nose is about the
drip. I m pretty sure no one wants to see the boogers waterfall out of my nose. It s almost like it s a
water faucet that is always on. Gross but it s the best metaphor I got. This awful ordeal started to

when I was like 8 and she gave me this really good metaphor in which I still remember today. She said
to think as if your white blood cells are fighting in trenches as they had in World War One. They
would be holding guns facing out towards the bacteria trench and firing at them and that I was to think
of the water as like and airdrop for the troops as ammunition to fight off the nasty bacteria. To this day
I pound of water and imagine my white blood cells doing such as my mother had told me. My mother
has already helped me during this season. She already gave me my check in text to see if I had already
caught the cold. She knew the drill. The moment I told her that I had the cold again she came and
picked me up and I went home to a nice lovely cuppa tea with honey in it and proceeded to wrap
myself in a blanket. It was awesome it was like old times and that I hadn t really move to college just
yet. My mom came in turn on the TV and offered me toast which I gladly excepted. Next she would

Masada Research Paper
Introduction The fortress of Masada plays a very large part of Jewish history. Masada comes from the
Hebrew word mazuda . The translation for the word mazuda means stronghold or fortress. The
historical events that took place at the Masada help us understand the history, life and the deaths at the
Masada.
History of Masada The Masada was built by King Herod prior to the Zealots capturing it. King Herod
built this fortress which included palaces, swimming pools and bathhouses. The Masada is located on
a very steep and isolated mountaintop. Masada overlooked the Dead Sea. Galileo and Jerusalem can
be seen from within the walls of the Masada. Long after King Herod reign, in 73 AD, the Romans and
Jews were fighting. After the Romans destroyed the Jewish temples and the city of Jerusalem, a group
of Jewish people called the Zealots, captured and took over the Masada. The Zealots were the first
Jewish people to revolt against Roman rule. This is the first revolt of its kind. Based on prophecies
from the bible, if the Jewish people didn t follow Gods word, bad things would happen. In Luke 19:
41 44 it states Jesus prophesied that Jerusalem would be destroyed because of the rejection of Jesus as
the Messiah . Although some Jewish people did believe in the Messiah most did not. ... Show more

The Romans used battering rams to break through the Masada s defense. This method didn t not work
as well as they hoped. The Romans set fire to a wall the Zealots had built for extra protection. Once
the Romans breached the massive walls of the Masada, they found that all of the Zealots had killed
themselves, it was a gruesome site. The Romans also discovered that some of the ceilings wooden
beams were gingerly dismantled, most likely to be used as extra defense by the Zealots. The Romans
also discovered that the Jews left food out before they killed themselves to let the Romans know that
they did not die of

Sherman Alexie s Ten Little Indians And Dream Catchers
Imagine having the motivations to achieve greatness but facing economic and educational struggles to
find opportunities. These challenges are the topic of Sherman Alexie s Ten Little Indians and Dream
Catchers. The characters from those stories overcome the struggles they face by self determination and
the desire for a better life. The social economic standing of a student can affect many opportunities
related to jobs and obtaining a college education but not the motivations for it. The characters that face
the most effects from their social economic statuses are Sherman Alexie s, Corliss and Dream
Catchers Krystal. Their social economic statuses are similar, Corliss being a Spokane Indian and
Krystal, an African American both are representing minorities. Sherman Alexie, great Native
American author writes, As a poor kid, and middle class Indian . . . destined for a minimum wage life
(5). Often minorities such as them, usually are expected to have lower class jobs, essentially waiting
tables or changing oil. Corliss dad is a victim of this fact, having a blue collar job. Krystal has a job as
a bagger at a supermarket at night, proving that minorities from a less than fortunate background are
expected to have minimum wage jobs in the working class America. However Corliss and Krystal
overcome their challenges by finding better education for themselves. She d been a resourceful thief, a

Bulgaria s Foreign Trade with Chocolate
Introduction Characteristics of the good Chocolate is a sweet food preparation made of cacao seeds in
various forms and flavors. It has large application in the food industry and can be consumed either as a
final product or as a flavoring ingredient for a great variety of sweet foods. Its primary ingredient
cacao, is cultivated by many cultures in Mexico and Central America as well as in some countries in
West Africa, such as Cote d Ivoire. The production of chocolate takes place in several stages. First, the
bitter cacao seeds have to be fermented so that their intense bitter taste becomes milder. After
fermentation, the beans are dried, cleaned and roasted. The cocoa mass is then obtained, which

Employment According to the World Cocoa Foundation, 5 to 6 mln cocoa farmers and 40 to 50 mln
people in total depend on cocoa for their livelihood. The dependence of the West African nations on
cocoa production, combined with the fluctuating prices of cocoa which depend on many factors such
as oversupply, adverse weather and tree disease put a lot of people at risk. Therefore, some measures
are taken to enable farmers to be more self sufficient. Some sustainable growing methods include
growing cacao in shade and use of low cost bio control measures to cultivate the trees and allow
farmers to harvest fruit and meat, build shelters, procure fibers for weaving and produce enough cacao
and other products to supply income for the family. The global chocolate and cocoa industry also
provides assistance to help farmers produce more income and security through conducting on the
ground programs in cocoa growing regions. For example, farmers are now earning between 20 percent
and 55 percent more from their crops through the WCF programs. One such effort is the Farmer Field
Schools, which support cocoa farmers with practical on the ground assistance and agricultural best
practices that help them grow a better quality cocoa crop and more of it. Fair Trade in the Cocoa and

Theme Of To Build A Fire
To Build a Fire begins with a man going on a Yukon trail. He gets to a layer of ice. He walks on the
ice to test it, and then he falls through. He then tries to make a fire. It fails and he tries again, but stull
fails. He attempts to run to the camp. He is not able to and dies. One theme from To build a fire is to
listen to experienced people. The first way the theme is developed is the man doesn t listen to the old
timer at sulfur creek. In a paragraph in the beginning, he says the old timer told him not to ever go
alone on a trail in below 50 degrees weather. It is dangerous to go alone. He says you should have a

The Best Key Performance Indicators For The Godiva Monitor...
In my opinion, the five best key performance indicators for the Godiva to monitor and measure on
their ecommerce website are: number of unique visitors, bounce rate, conversion rate, average order
value, and repeat customer rate.
Unique visitors counts are important in determining between new versus returning site user traffic.
This data is helpful for counting hits to the landing page, and beneficial in counting hits to other pages
within the site as well. High traffic, and high returning traffic numbers are indicative of a healthy on
line business. The more frequently a user visits the site, the more opportunity that they have to make a
purchase. George Blitzer of Kommerzen.com indicates that more than one third of traffic should
represent repeat visitors. He also notes that rewarding these visitors with a loyalty program is a great
incentive to keep them coming back.
The bounce rate will provide Godiva with the number of times a site visitor leaves their website right
away. The bounce rate is calculated by the number of website page visitors that do not engage with the
page (do not click on links, or interact with the page) before abandoning the page, divided by the total
number of visits to the page within a given time frame. When the bounce rate rises, Godiva knows that
either the site user entered the page by accident, or the site user was not interested in what they saw. A
rise in bounce rate may potentially be caused by a redesign of a website page, unappealing

Public Health Policy And The Care Crisis
Public health policy is associated with the need to imposition public health professionals to consider
leading gaps in the future of health care crisis. The purpose is to protect the underserved and
underinsured population by the need to propose public health policy to safeguard individual s health
(Laureate Education, 2012). By protecting community health, in turn, helps control the cost of the
over burdensome healthcare expenses (Getzen, 2013). A public health professional has an obligation
to influence the health status through evidence based policymaking needed to intervene for policy
makers. Given financial constraint to reduce health disparities financial preparation and disseminative
communication are the essential tools needed to make supplement legislative policy (Brownson,
Chriqui, Stamatakis, 2009; Laureate Education, 2012). The future financing to improve and amend
required policy is through evidence based health surveillance that helps public health professionals
decide the direction of where budget containment should be allocated (Brownson et al., 2009).
A public health specialist is responsible for the setting up the priorities to inform and advise
stakeholders and government agencies where allocated funding should be directed. It is through the
public health professionals consistence support that financing for public health services are increasing
for the population (Laureate Education, 2012). Moreover, public health professionals are in charge of

It describes how it looked from the point of view of someone who was not actually present during the
event. Its something that depicts the way he felt as an eyewitness. He describes the expirience and
explains the feelings that comes along. Analasing it is the best way to discover what he felt as he

The Debate Of Women s Military Combat

Women in Combat
The debate of whether women should participate in military combat is a controversial issue
worldwide. While the majority of the western countries, such as America, believe in the conservative
values associated with women in combat forces, eastern countries, like Israel, do not fully support
these ideals. Some believe it is a woman s equal right, some believe it will cause negative affects on
the family s life, and others believe women in combat should receive the rights they deserve. Every
individual can and should have an opinion on the matter, but how they address the issue can vary.

Depending on how history is interpreted, every person will have a different opinion on what they
believe to be correct.
America has countless means of support, including the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of
Rights, that declare equal rights on all citizens, or in other words, women in combat. There are two
sides of feminism relating to women in combat. One side describes the feminists who believe the idea
that women can and should do anything men can do (Ruby). So, if women can be anything they want
to be such as heads of nations, captains of industry, astronauts, and surgeons, then they should be
allowed to fight in combat (Ruby). The alternate feminist approach based on gender equality, which
states women should be allowed to participate in military combat, is a fundamental idea not only in
this article, but also to feminists everywhere. The idea feminists believe is not that women should do
everything men do, but to decide what activities we want humans to do, to be involved in, to value and
then work toward equality in those areas (Ruby). The idea is not that women should go into military
combat to be more masculine and violent, but to go in because they have the right to defend their
country, just like men can. Some say they are shocked to hear about or see women taking an
aggressive role in combat, women coming home from Iraq with amputations and other severe combat
wounds, and women coming

Creation Myths Essay
Creation Myths
Who made who? Did God create humans or did humans create god? At first thought one
would of course say God created humans. Man cannot create god! What fool would dare say
such a thing! After all the definition of God says that it is the supreme being and the divine
creator, not the divine creation. So of course God created man, right? Or shall we dig a little
deeper into this question and examine it from the other side? Is God just a figment of mans
elaborate imagination? Could it be that God is a mythological tool used by man to manipulate the
mind to give explanations to the unexplainable? If this is true then humans created god.

Years past, and as time went by man obtained more and more knowledge about the

Gods that would satisfy mans starving imagination and explain their existence. Expanding from
the elementary elemental based gods of the Egyptians came more evolved gods. Gods that were

simple. The human race as a whole has become so abundant with knowledge that we aren t
nearly as nieve and susceptible to manipulation anymore. Therefore no new creationist religions

Duggan Consumer Culture
With the continuing development of Internet technology, news has never been shared faster. It is easy
to access national and international news in seconds. Despite the fact that network news may be losing
some viewers, online articles and news sites are gaining more attraction. News and media can have a
significant impact on people s perceptions of different cultural issues, thus affecting consumer culture.
According to Bryant and Oliver (2009, p.9) how a person feels about a particular issue may be rooted
in his or her personal experience of in the general culture or exposure to the mass media . Throughout
this essay I will analyse the language used in an online article from Mail Online by Richard Littlejohn,
titled Duggan was a Gangster, not Nelson Mandela . I intend to show how young black men are
criminalised in the news media and how this affects black consumer culture and perpetuates negative
stereotypes. Despite the fact that the article focuses on issues in London and the United Kingdom, I

The Importance Of Human Relationship In Fahrenheit 451
The Importance of Human Relationship As humans, there are many aspects that separate and
distinguish us from other animals. However, I believe the most valuable distinction is our ability to
create meaningful relationships. Whether these relationships are friendships, marriages or any other
union of two people, this connection is the basis of our humanity. Through relationships were able to
share knowledge, discuss ideas, and better ourselves through the enlightenment of others. Moreover,
the basis of a relationships lies on the principle that it is a shared give and take between two people.
Yet, what happens in a society that has slowly eradicated a person s ability to question their
surroundings and communication has been dumbed down to surface level discussions? Ultimately the
basis of a relationship is undermined, since there is no true human connection. The ramifications of
this ignorant lifestyle is articulated in Ray Bradbury s Fahrenheit 451. The primary relationships in
this novel is between Montag and his wife Mildred. Throughout the story, we see Montag change his
perception of the world he lives in and his purpose as a fireman. With this newfound realization,
Montag tries to introduce Millie to books and the pursuit of knowledge. The novel explores how an
individual s shift in perception impacts the other person in the relationship. It questions the
fundamental idea of how relationships function. Simply because one person conception of the truth

Jules Ferry s Speech On Imperialism
According to the content section of this chapter Imperialism, means, the subjugation, domination, and
exploitation of almost the entire globe to the economic and political needs of one region (Europe), a
development unprecedented in human history. To a neutral viewer this may appear like a beneficial
idea. During the 1800s and early 1900s, Imperialism was seen as a benefit to some and others did not
see it as this. Many European nations such as Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium, as well as
some other nations were gaining land. Many people had opposing views regarding imperialism. Those
who were in favor of imperialism often argued that it was beneficial based on nationalism, economic
gains, the fervor missions of the Christians, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jules Ferry s idea about making the trade better is a great idea, but unfortunately would not work like
he thinks. The other country would not be willingly let imperialists take over. Jule s speech continues
with a response from M. Camille Pelletan, an honorable audience member, he states What is this
civilization which you impose with can non balls? What is it but another form of barbarism? Don t
these populations, these inferior races, have the same rights as you? Aren t they masters of their own
houses? (258). Pelletan jeers and condemns Ferry, but Ferry sticks to his racist ideas and continues to
put the inferior races under him. Ferry continues to talk about the superiority he thinks Europe has
over everyone. He states, Gentlemen, I must speak from a higher and more truthful plane. (258). Ferry
is showing that he thinks he is superior to those he is speaking to and sees himself as a superior to
others and that he is above the inferiors. He then continues to make it clear that superiors have control
over the inferiors, It must be stated openly that, in effect, superior races have rights over inferior races.
(258). Throughout his speech, Ferry tries to show what the positives of Imperialism is, but does not
acknowledge the negatives for the expansion and take over of certain territories.
The imperialists tried to make arguments that they were bringing only

Biological Networks And The Biomedical And Genomic Fields
In the past two decades, technological advances in the biomedical and genomic fields have generated
enormous volumes of omics data. These data continue to be scattered in various databases accessible
through the World Wide Web (Table 1), there have been some significant efforts to integrate these to
answer specific questions (e.g., candidate disease gene prioritization1, tissue specific interaction
networks2, etc.). Concomitant with the development of specialized powerful gene and protein and
disease variant annotation databases, there has been an explosion in the number of publications in the
scientific literature. For example, in October 2015, there were approximately 43000 journals in
PubMed (ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/pubmed/J_Entrez.txt) and more than 21.5 million PubMed abstracts.
Collectively, these resources represent different facets and also our current knowledge of
pathophysiological mechanisms. These heterogeneous and humongous data resources have spurred the
demand for development of robust and efficient computational approaches to store, process, integrate,
analyze, interpret and generate novel hypotheses.
Biological networks share several features (e.g., scale freeness and small world properties) with social
and communication networks3. Hence, the algorithms used for analyzing social networks or Web
networks are equally relevant and useful for processing or interpreting biomedical and omics
networks. The various types of the omics data, such as protein

Introduction In this report, I will discuss 3 sections: Protocol Stack, Subnetting and Results. Within
the protocol stack section, I will explain how the encapsulation process works within each layer of
both TCP/IP IOS/OSI models. The explanations will relate to the stages which occur within the
process of requesting a web page from the web server via PC0 over the Wide Area Network (WAN).
Within the subnetting section, I will produce a guide on subnetting an IP address. Within, the results
section, screenshots of composing and receiving email will be shown, also screenshots displaying the
webpage of web server and outputs of 2 show commands on routing and switching devices. Protocol

So, within the WAN connection, to request a webpage from PC0 located within the Birmingham site,
the DNS protocol is used to determine the domain name whereas the HTTP application protocol
manages the way a web server web client interact. When requesting for the webpage, DNS protocol
sends data to the next 2 layers of the OSI Model in order to firstly encrypt the data within the
Presentation layer and then the dialogue is organized and data exchange is managed within session
layer. Data remains as one block during these 3 stages. Within the next layer (Transport layer) of both
models, data is segmented and a port number is attached to each segment which identifies the
application which should receive the data on receiving device. Port numbers are attached when the
TCP header is added. TCP UDP are the 2 protocols functioning on this layer. TCP is used for reliable
connections whereas UDP is used for unreliable connection. When referring back to the scenario of
requesting a webpage, data will be segmented and port number 80 will be attached in order for web
server s HTTP service to receive the data then the segments will be forwarded on using the TCP
protocol (Jaro., 2010). Segments are encapsulated into packets when forwarded to Network Layer
(Internet Layer on TCP/IP Model), the Network layer implements logical addressing to the packets. In

Personal Protective Equipment Essay
Many work environments depend on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep
workers safe. Although healthcare environments may be the first industry that comes to mind, people
who work with hazardous chemicals, dangerous machinery or equipment, and others all require
specific articles of PPE to stay safe.
Keeping PPE on hand and in excellent condition, however, is only a portion of the safety protocol.
Using and removing equipment correctly, at the right place and at the right time, is also required to
minimize the risk of employee injury or contamination.
Different types of PPE are designed to offer employees different types of protection. Those who work
with machinery are likely to require gloves as well as eye and ear protection at a minimum. Those
who work in healthcare environments may require anything from a basic respirator and gloves to full

Studies have confirmed the need for improvement in training procedures to help employees learn how
to adequately protect themselves. When full protective equipment is required, all parts of the body
must be completely shielded due to the risk of exposure to infected blood or bodily fluids.
Training employees to follow specific guidelines, such as the following for healthcare facilities, will
help to minimize the risk of contamination:
Studies verify that when workers are taught how to properly remove their PPE at an appropriate time
and place, positive changes tend to quickly become habits. Workers naturally want to protect
themselves but often need instruction on how to achieve that goal.
Once you have determined which types of PPE are needed and have provided your employees the
proper training to correctly use them, maintaining that usage over time will be the mark for true
success. PPE itself will need maintenance and replacement and the workers involved will require
periodic bouts of refreshment in safety

Key Resources That Affect Creativity Are Time And Money
Resources The two main resources that affect creativity are time and money. When it comes to a
project, we must determine the funding, people and other resources that a team legitimately needs to
complete the task.
Work group Features Group must work for common objectives of their group. There must be mutual
understanding between group members. There must be predefined rules and regulations for every
group member. There should be effective communication among every group member.(Wride, 2012)

recognition and credit to their team members. Managers can also support creativity by serving as a

Blaiming the Paparazzi
In 1997, Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris, which was blamed on the paparazzi that were
chasing her. Because the accident happened in France, no British charges can be laid against the
photographers. However, nine were charged with manslaughter in France, but the charges were thrown
out in 2002. Three photographers Jacques Langevin, Christian Martinez and Fabrice Chassery were
convicted of invasion of privacy for taking pictures of Princess Diana and were each fined one euro in
2006. Of course it is obvious that the public is intensely curious to know more about celebrities, but
don t you think celebrities have the right to be private?
First of all, let us define who the paparazzi are and what they do for a living. A paparazzo is a
photographer who takes pictures of athletes, actors, celebrities, politicians etc... on a daily basis. As a
matter of fact, paparazzi s tend to chase celebrities wherever they go. Whether it was to the Academy
Awards, shopping at a mall, or even going to the gym. Nowadays the paparazzi are going way beyond
the limits and are becoming more likely bizarre. They are competing against each other and are trying
to have the best exposed pictures of celebrities they could get at any cost. They don t care if they hurt
or stress celebrities. They simply want to be the best.
California s first civil anti paparazzi law was signed on January 1st, 1999. This law protects celebrities
from physical invasions and trespassing. This law wasn t enough, so on

Example Of Defense Mechanisms
Defense Mechanism Defense mechanisms are operated unconsciously without us knowing. There are
8 different defense mechanisms. We use these mechanisms daily but probably do not even realize we
do. These defense mechanisms include repression, denial, reaction, projection, regression,
rationalization, displacement, and sublimation. I have interviewed my boyfriend and along with
myself to identify some of these defense mechanisms. The four different defense mechanisms I have
used in my life is denial, regression, displacement, and rationalization. The first one I have used is
denial. This is a mechanism that I seem to find myself using very often in my life. According to Freud
in Theories of Personality by Schultz, denial is a defense mechanism that involves denying the
existence of an external threat or traumatic event. (Schultz 50) An example of myself using the denial
mechanism is a traumatic event that I remember very clearly. It was December 7th, 2016 around 8:00
pm, I was sitting in my living room watching television with my boyfriend. I just so happened to be
scrolling on Facebook on my phone when I saw all these strange posts on my cousins James s
Facebook wall. These posts were stating rest in peace and you will be missed. I immediately ran into
the other room and said mom what happened to James? My mother had no idea and both of us thought
these posts were some silly prank. I then texted James and laughed to myself saying this is a joke I
know its not real. A few

Rhetorical Devices In American Pie
Isiah Jones
Professor Harley
LA 201
29 November 2017
Essay 3
The song American Pie , by Don McLean, was a dominate rock and roll hit in 1971. McLean
illustrates famous rock star artist and songwriter Buddy Holly, who died in a plane crash in 1962 by
using rhetorical strategies. The different potential interpretations of this song made it one of the most
controversial songs from the 1970 s. McLean was hitting home with many emotional resonances
defining moments in the recent American experiences. American Pie starts out addressing McLean
love for music in the 50 s. During the 50 s, music was a tool for getting people off their feet and on to
the dance floors. And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make those people dance, and maybe
they d be happy for a while (McLean). This verse symbolizes why he loves to create and perform for
his fans. McLean then goes on to mention his mentor Buddy Holly. But February made me shiver.
With every paper, I d deliver. Shocking news on the doorstep, I couldn t take one more step. I can t
remember if I cried. When I read about his widowed bride. But something touched me deep inside.
The day the music died (McLean). Buddy Holly died on February 3, 1959, in a plane crash. There are
two theories on why the song was called American Pie. It was rumored, American Pie was the name of
the plane that took Buddy Holly life. Also, someone refers it to a symbol of the beauty queen Miss
America (Morgan). Mclean remembered the paper boy delivering the morning paper and there on the
front page, was the story of the death of Buddy Holly. At the time Holly s wife was pregnant and soon
had a miscarriage afterward. McLean, he says he can t remember if he cried in the moment or not. All
this was in the first few verses in American Pie. McLean incorporated these lines of imagery to help
the listener picture his past emotional experiences. I believe McLean wanted to paint a picture for his
audience could relate to. During these times it was tough for McLean. Not only did Buddy Holly die
but also rock star legends Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper. For McLean music died for him and the
rest of the world.
American Pie not only pays tribute to three talented musicians but also

Movie, Rear Window, By Alfred Hitchcock
For every action a person takes, there is usually a purpose behind it. The riskier and more dangerous
an action, the more motive that individual must have to continue. Alfred Hitchcock s 1954 film, Rear
Window, is a riveting thriller that is based on Cornell Woolrich s short story It Had to be Murder . This
film tells a narrative about an adventurous photographer, Jeffries played by James Stewart, who after
breaking his leg is forced to remain shackled to a wheelchair within his home. To cope with boredom,
he takes the liberty of observing his neighbors through one of his windows. It is through this pastime
that he comes to believe that one of his neighbor might be guilty of murdering his wife. Throughout
the rest of the film Jeffries decides to investigate his neighbor, in an attempt to bring him to justice.
Jeffries is however met with skepticism and obstacles. While any other individual might have
succumbed to the skepticism, Jeffries does not. Throughout the film we come know his character
more, and we can analyze what part of his personality started the whole ordeal and which traits drives
him to finish his investigation. One of Jeffries trait that we learned about early on is that he is a daring
individual who likes adventure. We quickly learn this key information in the opening scenes of the
film, when we are informed that of the reason why he ended up with a broken leg. We are not given
many details on how the accident occurred, however we do know that the

Persuasive Essay On Prayer In School
Prayer in School has been one of the most controversial issues of all the time. Under US constitution
also prayer in schools is constitutional as well as unconstitutional. Congress shall make no law
respecting as establishment of religious or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the
freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the
government for a redress of grievance , first amendment of US constitution. This amendment
guarantees people for their freedom of religious and speech of their choice. It means an individual has
a right to follow their religious without violating other belief. As an atheist, I believed that Prayer is a
mind exercise to keep balance between subconscious and conscious mind. And, a prayer in School
will give a guideline t People have their right to follow the religious of their own choice. They can
practice any norms or values under their religious without violating other belief. In 60s, prayer in
school was common in America. But, sometimes catholic group objected because it violates their
belief. Since, everyone has only one faith but there is different ways to express their faith on their own
God. In school, student with different religious has their own way and own God to pray. Prayer that
we pray in school may come from one religious which may violate others belief. On June 25, 1962,
US Supreme court ruled against prayer in public school. (Engel v. Vitale case)

During the first eight days, the participants gathered and prepared the bodies for the reburial. Relatives
of the deceased took out their remains, and the corpses, in various degrees of putrefaction. Flesh and
skin were removed from the corpses and the bones were individually cleaned. They were wrapped
again in another set of beaver furs. Generally women carried out this task, and any sign of revulsion
was traditionally discouraged. Wrapped in fur packages, the bones were returned to the homes of
relatives, where a feast was held in memory of the dead. Gifts and offerings were placed next to these
packages, and visitors were welcomed and treated generously. This was a time to feast, and gather the
food and offerings to be used for the main burial event. The village leader announced when all
families should transport the bodies. The journey to the new site was often long and was a time for
public mourning, punctuated by sharp cries of the participants. When the chief decided and everyone
was present, all would gather around the burial pit for the main ceremony. Whenever the relatives of

Essay about Apocalypse Now
Apocalypse Now
This film, from 1979 was directed by Francis Ford Coppula and starred Martin Sheen (Capt. Willard)
and Marlon Brando (Col. Kurtz). The film takes place during the 1970 s in the middle of the Vietnam
War. Coppula was rewarded for his hard work by winning the Academy Award for cinematography.
The story is based on the novel Hearts of Darkness , by Joseph Conrad. The book and film depicts
Capt. Willard in the middle of the Vietnam searching for Col. Kurtz, who has gone mad and started his
own private war. Apocalypse Now uses its scenes to show three types of horror including
psychological, gore, and surprise. Psychological horror plays with human rationalization. Gore shows
a stunning or violent action. Surprise horror ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Coppula uses psychological horror to illustrate the barrier between Willard s world and Kurtz s world
as a means of horror in the viewer s mind. The second type of horror is gore, in which a painful
experience is relayed to the viewer. Gore comes to life in films by using special effects to have the
viewer empathize with the characters. The best example of this in Apocalypse Now is when the river
boat captain is speared through the chest gruesomely. He then attempts to impale Willard, by him
towards him and using the same blood soaked spear still in him, before he inevitably dies. When you
see the captain get speared through his chest you feel sympathy for his suffering and you feel his anger
when he tries to kill Willard. At the same time, the viewer feels the desperation of Willard as he fends
for his own life. Coppula uses gore horror here to create the element of empathy and fear for both the
Captain, who dies for what is really Willard s war, and for Willard, who inadvertently has killed the
Captain by putting him in this situation. The surprise horror is created through a dramatic presentation
of events or a sudden shocker. By timing a motion or noise correctly the viewer experiences the
danger themselves of a situation. The scene that best uses surprise horror in the film is when Willard
and the character Chief are in the jungle looking for mangos. The two are suddenly attacked by a tiger

The Purchasing Power Parity ( Ppp ) And I Will Divide This...
Introduction:
A quote from Adam Smith s book shows the distinguishes between money and wealth : It would be
too ridiculous to go about seriously to prove that wealth does not consist in money, or in gold and
silver; but in what money purchases, and is valuable only for purchasing. This quote means the money
purchases seems to be more important than money itself, in other words, this view is consistent with
many economists who think the purchasing power is important. There is two type of fundamental
international financial relationships: first is the Purchasing power parity which occurs in goods and
services market, the second is the interest parity which occurs in the money market. Both relationships
state the association among interest rate, inflation rates, and change in exchange rates.
In this paper, I will only focus on discussing the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and I will divide this
paper into four sections. In section 1, I will come up with the definition of PPP and other theories
behind it. For section 2, I will briefly introduce the absolute PPP and relative PPP and empirical
evidence on PPP. Section 3 explains empirical test of PPP in practice and the problem of PPP. For the
last section, there are conclusion and remarks.
Section 1: Understanding Purchasing power parity
In this section, I will define the purchasing power parity and other theories behind PPP.
WHAT IS PPP?
Purchasing power parity (PPP) principle was first introduced by Gustav Cassell in the

Jedda s Influence On Australian Popular Culture
After the end of WW2 there was an increase in wealth for many Australians. This meant that
Australians were able to afford more entertainment products, which resulted in the introduction of
televisions. Australia was a growing community and there was a quest for Australian identity. (Wiliam,
S, 2016)
Before the introduction of television and during World War 2, radio was Australia s most popular form
of entertainment. This is likely because at the end of the 1950s, radios became more accessible. In
1955, approximately 97% of Australian homes owned a radio set. In the evenings families would
gather together to listen to many programs on the radio. The radio in this time consisted of many
shows including music, drama, entertainment and quiz ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The introduction of television was greeted with great excitement by most Australians in the 1950s, but
some of society was opposed against the idea of televisions. This was because some people believed
that television would allow Australia to become over run by American culture, thus threatening the
development of the Australian identity. (Wiliam, S, 2016). The amount of American shows that were
broadcast in Australia at the time would have given people these views about Australian culture.
Eventually, many of our British cultural legacies would give way to new American ideals. (Wiliam, S.
2016). Some of the people thought that the American influence would impact Australia s ability to
carve out its own national identity. (Wiliam, S. 2016). Other people of the time that were opposed to
the idea of televisions believed that the content on televisions was superficial and unsophisticated and
contained no educational or cultural benefits.(Wiliam, S, 2016) This left people concerned that
television would encourage people to become less active in the

  • 2. Difference Between Spanish And English Colonization During the 15th through 17th centuries, advancements in technology and the desire for new resources spurred the exploration of the New World for both Spain and England. Spain s interest in exploration soon surpassed the rest of the countries in the Old World and the nation began to claim the majority of territory in Central and South America. Spain sent conquistadores to assert their dominance in the New World through violent conquest which resulted in difficult relations with native populations. Although the English did not settle in North America until the early 17th century, well past the period of the Spanish conquest, their methods of colonization were more successful in the long term. The English were able to find economic success ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This caused a trade imbalance, thus hurting the Spanish economy and making it harder for the colonies in the New World to become successful settlements. Because the Spanish Crown had little interest in creating long lasting colonies in New World for any purpose other than to gain wealth for the mother country, the group of Spaniards that came to America only consisted of conquistadores, missionaries, and soldiers. It is important to note that no Spanish women made the journey to the Americas, which contributed to Spain s issue with founding substantial settlements. All of these factors made it difficult for Spain to benefit off colonization because the country lacked a strong, stable economy in the New World. On the other hand, England was able to establish permanent settlements in the Americas more efficiently than the Spanish because the purpose of colonization was not solely to acquire wealth, but also to flee religious and political persecution. Since British colonists had a comparatively more compelling reason to inhabit the Americas than the Spanish, they were more likely to permanently settle and contribute to the economy through commerce and agriculture. Their economic situation differed from the Spanish because instead of earning wealth through conquest and exploitation, industry in English colonies was based on farming, fishing, and exports like tobacco and lumber. The economy was also more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Buffalo Bill was born in 1846 and his real name was William Frederick Cody. Cody was many things. He was a trapper, bullwhacker, Colorado Fifty Niner ;, Pony Express rider, Civil War soldier, wagonmaster, stagecoach driver, and even a manager of a hotel. He changed his name to Buffalo Bill sometime in his early twenties for his skill while supplying railroad workers with buffalo meat. He would soon begin his career as one of the most famous prairie scouts of the Indian Wars. Buffalo Bill worked the army from 1868 1872. Cody was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1872. His show exhibited many famous people, such as Annie Oakley and Sitting Bull. By the 1900 s, Buffalo Bill could have possibly been the most famous and recognizable man in the entire world. The Wild West s great success began on nostalgia for the passing frontier that swept the nation in the late 1800 s. However, Buffalo Bill never looked backward. Towards the end of his life, a famous quote of his was All my interests are still with the west the modern west ;. Cody used his glory and fame as a platform for his western causes. His western causes were fighting for the rights of Indians and women, and also for conservation. Even as early as 1879, Buffalo Bill warned the federal government to not make promises to them that could be broken. He knew that Indian conflicts would be caused by broken government promises. He also knew what the Indian was fighting for, because their entire history was in America, and they felt it was their country. Buffalo Bill was a fair man, as well. He was quoted in 1894 as saying to a woman reporter who asked whether he thought the majority of women were qualified to vote that they were as well qualified as the majority of men. If a woman can do the same work that a man can do and do it just as well, she should have the same pay ;. Very early on, Buffalo Bill realized that a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Masada Research Paper Introduction The fortress of Masada plays a very large part of Jewish history. Masada comes from the Hebrew word mazuda . The translation for the word mazuda means stronghold or fortress. The historical events that took place at the Masada help us understand the history, life and the deaths at the Masada. History of Masada The Masada was built by King Herod prior to the Zealots capturing it. King Herod built this fortress which included palaces, swimming pools and bathhouses. The Masada is located on a very steep and isolated mountaintop. Masada overlooked the Dead Sea. Galileo and Jerusalem can be seen from within the walls of the Masada. Long after King Herod reign, in 73 AD, the Romans and Jews were fighting. After the Romans destroyed the Jewish temples and the city of Jerusalem, a group of Jewish people called the Zealots, captured and took over the Masada. The Zealots were the first Jewish people to revolt against Roman rule. This is the first revolt of its kind. Based on prophecies from the bible, if the Jewish people didn t follow Gods word, bad things would happen. The dependence of the West African nations on cocoa production, combined with the fluctuating prices of cocoa which depend on many factors such as oversupply, adverse weather and tree disease put a lot of people at risk. Therefore, some measures are taken to enable farmers to be more self sufficient. • 9. The Best Key Performance Indicators For The Godiva Monitor... In my opinion, the five best key performance indicators for the Godiva to monitor and measure on their ecommerce website are: number of unique visitors, bounce rate, conversion rate, average order value, and repeat customer rate. Unique visitors counts are important in determining between new versus returning site user traffic. This data is helpful for counting hits to the landing page, and beneficial in counting hits to other pages within the site as well. High traffic, and high returning traffic numbers are indicative of a healthy on line business. The more frequently a user visits the site, the more opportunity that they have to make a purchase. George Blitzer of Kommerzen.com indicates that more than one third of traffic should represent repeat visitors. He also notes that rewarding these visitors with a loyalty program is a great incentive to keep them coming back. The bounce rate will provide Godiva with the number of times a site visitor leaves their website right away. The bounce rate is calculated by the number of website page visitors that do not engage with the page (do not click on links, or interact with the page) before abandoning the page, divided by the total number of visits to the page within a given time frame. When the bounce rate rises, Godiva knows that either the site user entered the page by accident, or the site user was not interested in what they saw. A rise in bounce rate may potentially be caused by a redesign of a website page, unappealing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While the majority of the western countries, such as America, believe in the conservative values associated with women in combat forces, eastern countries, like Israel, do not fully support these ideals. Some believe it is a woman s equal right, some believe it will cause negative affects on the family s life, and others believe women in combat should receive the rights they deserve. America has countless means of support, including the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, that declare equal rights on all citizens, or in other words, women in combat. There are two sides of feminism relating to women in combat. One side describes the feminists who believe the idea that women can and should do anything men can do (Ruby). So, if women can be anything they want to be such as heads of nations, captains of industry, astronauts, and surgeons, then they should be allowed to fight in combat (Ruby). The alternate feminist approach based on gender equality, which states women should be allowed to participate in military combat, is a fundamental idea not only in this article, but also to feminists everywhere. The idea feminists believe is not that women should do everything men do, but to decide what activities we want humans to do, to be involved in, to value and then work toward equality in those areas (Ruby). The idea is not that women should go into military combat to be more masculine and violent, but to go in because they have the right to defend their country, just like men can. • 20. The Importance Of Human Relationship In Fahrenheit 451 The Importance of Human Relationship As humans, there are many aspects that separate and distinguish us from other animals. However, I believe the most valuable distinction is our ability to create meaningful relationships. Whether these relationships are friendships, marriages or any other union of two people, this connection is the basis of our humanity. Through relationships were able to share knowledge, discuss ideas, and better ourselves through the enlightenment of others. Moreover, the basis of a relationships lies on the principle that it is a shared give and take between two people. Yet, what happens in a society that has slowly eradicated a person s ability to question their surroundings and communication has been dumbed down to surface level discussions? Ultimately the basis of a relationship is undermined, since there is no true human connection. The ramifications of this ignorant lifestyle is articulated in Ray Bradbury s Fahrenheit 451. The primary relationships in this novel is between Montag and his wife Mildred. Throughout the story, we see Montag change his perception of the world he lives in and his purpose as a fireman. With this newfound realization, Montag tries to introduce Millie to books and the pursuit of knowledge. The novel explores how an individual s shift in perception impacts the other person in the relationship. It questions the fundamental idea of how relationships function. Simply because one person conception of the truth has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jules Ferry s Speech On Imperialism According to the content section of this chapter Imperialism, means, the subjugation, domination, and exploitation of almost the entire globe to the economic and political needs of one region (Europe), a development unprecedented in human history. To a neutral viewer this may appear like a beneficial idea. During the 1800s and early 1900s, Imperialism was seen as a benefit to some and others did not see it as this. Many European nations such as Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium, as well as some other nations were gaining land. Many people had opposing views regarding imperialism. Jules Ferry s idea about making the trade better is a great idea, but unfortunately would not work like he thinks. The other country would not be willingly let imperialists take over. Jule s speech continues with a response from M. Camille Pelletan, an honorable audience member, he states What is this civilization which you impose with can non balls? What is it but another form of barbarism? Don t these populations, these inferior races, have the same rights as you? Aren t they masters of their own houses? (258). Pelletan jeers and condemns Ferry, but Ferry sticks to his racist ideas and continues to put the inferior races under him. Ferry continues to talk about the superiority he thinks Europe has over everyone. He states, Gentlemen, I must speak from a higher and more truthful plane. (258). Ferry is showing that he thinks he is superior to those he is speaking to and sees himself as a superior to others and that he is above the inferiors. He then continues to make it clear that superiors have control over the inferiors, It must be stated openly that, in effect, superior races have rights over inferior races. (258). These data continue to be scattered in various databases accessible through the World Wide Web (Table 1), there have been some significant efforts to integrate these to answer specific questions (e.g., candidate disease gene prioritization1, tissue specific interaction networks2, etc.). Concomitant with the development of specialized powerful gene and protein and disease variant annotation databases, there has been an explosion in the number of publications in the scientific literature. For example, in October 2015, there were approximately 43000 journals in PubMed (ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/pubmed/J_Entrez.txt) and more than 21.5 million PubMed abstracts. Collectively, these resources represent different facets and also our current knowledge of pathophysiological mechanisms. These heterogeneous and humongous data resources have spurred the demand for development of robust and efficient computational approaches to store, process, integrate, analyze, interpret and generate novel hypotheses. Biological networks share several features (e.g., scale freeness and small world properties) with social and communication networks3. Hence, the algorithms used for analyzing social networks or Web networks are equally relevant and useful for processing or interpreting biomedical and omics networks. Within the protocol stack section, I will explain how the encapsulation process works within each layer of both TCP/IP IOS/OSI models. When requesting for the webpage, DNS protocol sends data to the next 2 layers of the OSI Model in order to firstly encrypt the data within the Presentation layer and then the dialogue is organized and data exchange is managed within session layer. Data remains as one block during these 3 stages. Within the next layer (Transport layer) of both models, data is segmented and a port number is attached to each segment which identifies the application which should receive the data on receiving device. Port numbers are attached when the TCP header is added. TCP UDP are the 2 protocols functioning on this layer. TCP is used for reliable connections whereas UDP is used for unreliable connection. When referring back to the scenario of requesting a webpage, data will be segmented and port number 80 will be attached in order for web server s HTTP service to receive the data then the segments will be forwarded on using the TCP protocol (Jaro., 2010). Keeping PPE on hand and in excellent condition, however, is only a portion of the safety protocol. Three photographers Jacques Langevin, Christian Martinez and Fabrice Chassery were convicted of invasion of privacy for taking pictures of Princess Diana and were each fined one euro in 2006. Of course it is obvious that the public is intensely curious to know more about celebrities, but don t you think celebrities have the right to be private? We use these mechanisms daily but probably do not even realize we do. These defense mechanisms include repression, denial, reaction, projection, regression, rationalization, displacement, and sublimation. I have interviewed my boyfriend and along with myself to identify some of these defense mechanisms. The four different defense mechanisms I have used in my life is denial, regression, displacement, and rationalization. The first one I have used is denial. This is a mechanism that I seem to find myself using very often in my life. According to Freud in Theories of Personality by Schultz, denial is a defense mechanism that involves denying the existence of an external threat or traumatic event. (Schultz 50) An example of myself using the denial mechanism is a traumatic event that I remember very clearly. • 32. Rhetorical Devices In American Pie Isiah Jones Professor Harley LA 201 29 November 2017 Essay 3 The song American Pie , by Don McLean, was a dominate rock and roll hit in 1971. McLean illustrates famous rock star artist and songwriter Buddy Holly, who died in a plane crash in 1962 by using rhetorical strategies. The different potential interpretations of this song made it one of the most controversial songs from the 1970 s. McLean was hitting home with many emotional resonances defining moments in the recent American experiences. American Pie starts out addressing McLean love for music in the 50 s. During the 50 s, music was a tool for getting people off their feet and on to the dance floors. And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make those people dance, and maybe they d be happy for a while (McLean). This verse symbolizes why he loves to create and perform for his fans. McLean then goes on to mention his mentor Buddy Holly. But February made me shiver. With every paper, I d deliver. Shocking news on the doorstep, I couldn t take one more step. I can t remember if I cried. When I read about his widowed bride. But something touched me deep inside. The day the music died (McLean). Buddy Holly died on February 3, 1959, in a plane crash. There are two theories on why the song was called American Pie. It was rumored, American Pie was the name of the plane that took Buddy Holly life. Also, someone refers it to a symbol of the beauty queen Miss America (Morgan). Mclean remembered the paper boy delivering the morning paper and there on the front page, was the story of the death of Buddy Holly. At the time Holly s wife was pregnant and soon had a miscarriage afterward. McLean, he says he can t remember if he cried in the moment or not. All this was in the first few verses in American Pie. McLean incorporated these lines of imagery to help the listener picture his past emotional experiences. I believe McLean wanted to paint a picture for his audience could relate to. During these times it was tough for McLean. Not only did Buddy Holly die but also rock star legends Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper. For McLean music died for him and the rest of the world. Coppula uses psychological horror to illustrate the barrier between Willard s world and Kurtz s world as a means of horror in the viewer s mind. The second type of horror is gore, in which a painful experience is relayed to the viewer. Gore comes to life in films by using special effects to have the viewer empathize with the characters. The best example of this in Apocalypse Now is when the river boat captain is speared through the chest gruesomely. He then attempts to impale Willard, by him towards him and using the same blood soaked spear still in him, before he inevitably dies. When you see the captain get speared through his chest you feel sympathy for his suffering and you feel his anger when he tries to kill Willard. At the same time, the viewer feels the desperation of Willard as he fends for his own life. Coppula uses gore horror here to create the element of empathy and fear for both the Captain, who dies for what is really Willard s war, and for Willard, who inadvertently has killed the Captain by putting him in this situation. The surprise horror is created through a dramatic presentation of events or a sudden shocker. By timing a motion or noise correctly the viewer experiences the danger themselves of a situation. The scene that best uses surprise horror in the film is when Willard and the character Chief are in the jungle looking for mangos. The two are suddenly attacked by a tiger from out of ... Introduction: A quote from Adam Smith s book shows the distinguishes between money and wealth : It would be too ridiculous to go about seriously to prove that wealth does not consist in money, or in gold and silver; but in what money purchases, and is valuable only for purchasing. This quote means the money purchases seems to be more important than money itself, in other words, this view is consistent with many economists who think the purchasing power is important. There is two type of fundamental international financial relationships: first is the Purchasing power parity which occurs in goods and services market, the second is the interest parity which occurs in the money market. Both relationships state the association among interest rate, inflation rates, and change in exchange rates. In this paper, I will only focus on discussing the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and I will divide this paper into four sections. In section 1, I will come up with the definition of PPP and other theories behind it. For section 2, I will briefly introduce the absolute PPP and relative PPP and empirical evidence on PPP. Section 3 explains empirical test of PPP in practice and the problem of PPP. For the last section, there are conclusion and remarks.
