- And today we have a Periodic Table with 118 elements. And next november we are going to put inside the last ones (Nihonium, Tenessium, Moscovium, oganason…)
- And today (with our Periodic Table with 118 elements) we use magic (and alchemical triks) to engage students in Chemistry!
- For the last two years we have undergone a project that involves the use of magic and illusionism techniques, mainly based on mathematical principles, with the purpose of entertaining but also with the goal of increasing the public understanding of core chemistry values, in this case a basic knowledge of the Periodic Table of the Elements. We have developed a varied activity, from hands-on workshops, interactive shows, and demonstrative performances.
- This show won the Mention of Honour at the Ciencia en Acción contest in 2014, while it has been presented at several cities in Spain and in Europe: Nancy (Science&You), London (Science on Stage), ... International activites have been held also in Brussels (Researchers’ Night 10th Aniversary, Sept 2015), and are expected to be shown in Manchester (Science in the City) and Varsaw (Science Piknik) along 2016.
- Overall reception of the Magic of Chemistry has been very strong, because it combines the secrets of mathemagic and metalism with the amazing outcomes of less well-known chemical experiments. Our team is willing to increase Public Awareness of Science, so we try to make activities enticing and attractive, but is also pushing for Public Understanding of Science, so depending on context we explain the intrinsics and secrets of experiments and games.

- We’ve got “red” elements and black elements. The combination between one red element with a black one produces a salt. But this salt is not formed if two red elements are combined neither two black ones. So… someone wants to help us?? We need 6 people (3 pairs).
