The growth of marine diatom, Chaetoceros muelleri, used as live feed in

variables initially screened for biomass production using Plackett Burman

agitation speed. The screening revealed that nitrate, phosphate, silicate, temperature
and pH significantly influenced the biomass production of C. muelleri. These five
variables were further optimized by central composite design (CCD) of RSM for

180 mg l 1, phosphate 7.5 mg l 1, silicate 30 mg l 1, and temperature of incubation

For this assignment, I decided to observe people s interaction in Starbucks at level
one of the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU), Indiana University. Starbucks is one of

coffee, tea, snacks and many more beverages. I decided to go to do my observation
at Starbucksinstead of other coffeeshops because in my opinion, Starbucks is one of
the famous coffee shops among Americans so more people will come there to buy

cold weather. Because of that, I went to observe students and other people who are
in Starbucks at IMU. At this Starbucks, there is a stage at the back of the coffee
shop for people to make performance and in between of the stage and the counter,
there are lots of tables and chairs for customers to sit down. For the purpose of
observing people s interaction, I sit at one of the tables in the middle between the
Starbuck s counter and the stage that were facing the Starbucks counter. By sitting

My Leadership Philosophy
Throughout the history, until now, we have witnessed many great leaders. But what
leadership skills make them a great leader? What are their strengths and
weaknesses, their values and credibility? I have never asked these questions to
myself up until taking this course. I have realized that being the one in power or
being the one that leads is not enough to make you a great leader. There are many
different elements of leadershipand everyone has a different leadership style.
Keeping all these in mind, I thought about my leadership and my personal vision. I
have learned a great deal about leadership in this course and I aim to apply them all
to my leadership experiences in the future.

I want to build credibility through honesty by being open about key issues. Build
credibility through forward looking by setting up goals, foreseeing upcoming
challenges and obstacles that we might face. Finally build credibility through
inspiration and influence others by modeling the way and show my enthusiasm
all the time, just like how I want to inspire my sister. Influence is a two way
relationship and it can be only created by building relationships. Through
credibility, I can build good relationships and influence others. I believe that
credibility is a strength of mine. I have been in the leadership position many times
which is why I know people can trust me and I know that I don t like letting people
down who trusts me. In a global business, it is one of the most important
qualifications to have. While doing business overseas, it is hard to trust people
that you don t meet in person. Doing business between Turkey and United States, it
is going to be crucial for our customers to trust us. That is why I am hoping to
achieve my goal. But even though it is my strength, I am aware that it should be
built from ground zero while working with a new team that doesn t know you and it

Omeros and St Lucia
Derek Walcott amp;#8217;s Omeros is an epic story which fits well into the
classical tradition. Its numerous echoes of Homeric writing combined with the use
of characters amp;#8217; names from Homer amp;#8217;s stories are clear
evidence to the fact that there is a major parallel to Homer amp;#8217;s Iliad and
Odyssey. There is no debate in this obvious fact. Omeros and Derek Walcott
amp;#8217;s writing, however, are much more than a mere reproduction of classical

The French and English had many battles near this island, including the Battle of Cul
de Sac and the Battle of the Saintes, which has a significant impact in the pages of
the poem. Major Plunkett, in his analyzation of the history of St Lucia, becomes very
interested in an Ensign Plunkett, who (only in Omeros) is part of the Battle of the
Saintes. Today, St. Lucia is a multicultural democracy which became independent
from English rule in 1979.
This conflict of these two European powers is a theme which Walcott carries over
to the story. In Omeros, Walcott uses Achille and Hector to show the struggle
between these two nations. In one place, Walcott says, amp;#8220;...An island
called Helen..., ; Bk 2, XIX, i). Obviously, this is a clear reference to Helen being
used as a figure of St. Lucia. He uses Achille and Hector amp;#8217;s mutual
pursuit of Helen to signify France (Hector) and England (Achille) amp;#8217;s
constant struggle for the control of St. Lucia. This struggle is seen from very early
on in the story: amp;#8220;The duel of the fisherman/was over a shadow and its
name was Helen ; (Bk 1, III, i). When Hector sells his boat while Achille remains a
fisherman, it makes reference to the Navy of England amp;#8217;s domination over

I. Introduction According to Brueggemann (2014) Communities are natural human
groups, networks, and associations of people related to one another by at least one
common or compelling factor in more or less loosely linked forms of connection
(p.142). Communities are not only a place where a group of people cohabitate but a
linkage among people sharing common interests and activities. In every community
there are social workers that advocate on the behalf of the vulnerable and oppressed
population. A social worker needs to become familiar with the communities that their
clients reside in, to better provide local resources and aid to clients. In every
community there are resources and assets that could be used to improve its social
environment. For example, many communities have programs like the YMCA that
promotes youth development and communication among people living in the
community. In addition, a social worker that provides direct services to client needs
to be aware of the resources available within the community and the population
seeking the assistance. By identifying which people live in a certain community,
social workers could develop cultural humility and have a better understanding of
their client s values, morals and heritage. Having this knowledge is crucial since
some resources are specifically tailored to certain groups. For instance, some senior
centers provide meals, transportation, and employment assistance for the elderly.
