with foreign countries made available many interesting goods.

This process was faster and easier then previous options. This discovery
made the written word more widely available. Making bookstores a
possibility.
 Islam also used a form of credit and universal currency

3.  During this time there was a great focus on preserving knowledge from
all sources. One example of this is Ibn Rushed, who translated and
preserved the works of Aristotle. Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and
scientist. With out his help we may not know who he is today.
 There were great advances in medicine. Al-Razi wrote about 200 books
on medicine. He wrote about such diseases as small pox and potential
natural cures. Hundreds of hospitals were opened during this time.

4.  During this time Islamic law was universal through out the empire.
Other words there was one set of laws for everyone. This legal system
was known as the Sharia Law it was based upon the Quran. Sharia
meaning God.
 Arabic was the universal language and with more people speaking one
language people had an easier time communicating.

represent their faith so they used bold designs and colors.
 Intricate geometric designs and arbesques were used to decorate
everything from pottery to buidings.
