BIBLICAL SYNTHESIS After reading the assigned Bible passages, syChantellPantoja184
BIBLICAL SYNTHESIS
After reading the assigned Bible passages, synthesize these passages into a response to the following question: “What is the responsibility of Christians with regards to economic development, leadership within the community, and the mandates of the Gospel?”
MUST BE 600 WORDS
Biblical integration must be included in a thoughtful manner as articulated in the required
reading and presentations.
2. Citations from the required reading and presentation must be included in answering the
assigned questions.James 1:26-27New International Version
26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Proverbs 29:7New International Version
7 The righteous care about justice for the poor,
but the wicked have no such concern.
Malachi 3:6-12New International VersionBreaking Covenant by Withholding Tithes
6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty.
“But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’
8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
Matthew 6New International VersionGiving to the Needy
6 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.Prayer
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Fa ...

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

The godlife ethos
1. THE GODLIFE ETHOS
„ETHOS‟
The characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as seen in its beliefs and
aspirations.
2. To bring Wisdom and Prosperity to every community through planting
churches and schools wherever God shows us.
Poverty and ignorance are evil and represent the true nature of Satan.
Lack and insecurity are not of God.
If we do our job as Christians, it will be on Earth as it is in Heaven!
OUR MISSION
3. Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
We are called „Godlife‟ because we expect every member to live the God life!
Thus it is our objective to get you healed, secure and confident in God‟s word
so that you may easily bare that fruit! How you TREAT people is how you
serve God.
HOW WE TREAT PEOPLE.
4. John 13:34-35
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you
must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples,
if you love one another.”
1) – WE DO EVERYTHING IN LOVE!
5. 1 Corinthians 13
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not
proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but
rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres.
WHAT IS LOVE? (BABY DON’T HURT ME, NO MORE)
6. 1 John 4
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone
who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love
does not know God, because God is love.
20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For
whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot
love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this
command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
HOW IMPORTANT IS LOVE?
7. 1 Corinthians 13
13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am
only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
Matthew 5:43-48
43 “You have heard that it was said, „Love your neighbour and hate your
enemy.‟ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun
to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the
unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are
not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own
people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do
that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
8. Romans 13:8-10
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one
another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments,
“You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not
steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are
summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” 10 Love
does no harm to a neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the law.
DEBT = OWE!
9. 8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of
sins.
1 PETER 4:8
10. Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of
your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is
good and acceptable and perfect.
Proverbs 4:7
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting
get understanding.
2) – WE PASSIONATELY PURSUE
WISDOM!
11. John 8:31-32
31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word,
you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set
you free.”
BE OBSESSED WITH HIS WORD!
12. 13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding,
14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver
and her profit better than gold.
15 She is more precious than jewels,
and nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her;
those who hold her fast are called blessed.
PROVERBS 3:13-18
13. Colossians 3:16
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one
another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with
thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Proverbs 23:12
12 Apply your heart to instruction
and your ear to words of knowledge.
BE FANATICAL ABOUT WISDOM!
14. Ecclesiastes 8:1
8 Who is like the wise?
And who knows the interpretation of a thing?
A man's wisdom makes his face shine,
and the hardness of his face is changed.
James 3:17
17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to
reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
THE WISDOM EFFECT:
15. Proverbs 17:27-28
27 Whoever restrains his words has knowledge,
and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.
28 Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
AUTO TEMPER CONTROL.
16. Luke 21:12-15
12 “…they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to
synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and
governors, and all on account of my name. 13 And so you will bear testimony
to me. 14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will
defend yourselves. 15 For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your
adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
COOL IN THE FACE OF
CONFRONTATION.
17. John 8:32
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
James 1:5
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all
without reproach, and it will be given him.
GET FREE, JUST ASK!
18. Proverbs 21:5
The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty; but the thoughts of
everyone who is hasty only to poverty.
John 10:10
10 I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
WE WANT EVERYONE TO BE
PROSPEROUS!
19. Our vision is to plant thousands of churches with schools throughout Africa.
This will take a lot of money, time and energy.
Thus we need to train our members to be prosperous and generous so that we
can truly change the course of our nation and continent.
Deuteronomy 15:10
Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of
this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you
put your hand to.
3) -WE ARE GENEROUS!
20. Proverbs 22
6 Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
29 Do you see someone skilled in their work?
They will serve before kings;
they will not serve before officials of low rank.
RAISE KIDS AND GET THEM
SKILLED!
21. 1 Corinthians 16:2
On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he
may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.
2 Corinthians 9:7
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not
reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
HOW THE EARLY CHURCH GAVE:
22. 1 Timothy 5:17-18
17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double
honour, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For
Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and
“The worker deserves his wages.”
TEACHERS, SCHOOLS AND STAFF
COST MONEY!
23. Proverbs 21:26
…the righteous gives and does not hold back.
Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure,
pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of
measure it will be measured to you in return.
GIVING IS BIBLICAL, DON’T BE
SHY!
24. Matthew 19:21-26
Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor,
and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard this
statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property. And Jesus said to
His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. “Again
I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter
the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, “Then
who can be saved?” And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but
with God all things are possible.”
JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET!
