food in my house. Test me in this,‖ says the LORD Almighty, ―and
see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour
out so much blessing (wisdom and favour) that there will not be
room enough to store it.
Proverbs 3:9-10  Firstfruits
9 Honour the LORD with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.

32. WHY I DO IT.
Consistent covenant means consistent blessing. (I don‟t wait
for the rain before I build a roof or buy an umbrella).
Firstfruits are for those big payouts that come through –
that‟s epic celebration giving and is an awesome opportunity
to sow seeds that have big „surprise‟ harvests.  This one is
awesome, it really is a great opportunity to acknowledge God
and sow again because your faith is pumping like mad and
that is the BEST time to sow!
People come with all kinds of reasons to NOT give. I scratch
around like mad for reasons to give. Where your heart is your
money is… I‟m keen for reaping so I sow. Simple as that.

33. 2 – CHURCH GIVING
Mark 12:41-44
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were
put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple
treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor
widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few
cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, ―Truly I tell you, this poor
widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all
gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in
everything—all she had to live on.‖
The bigger the breakthrough you need, the higher percentage you
need to sow! Remember, you need to be 100% focused on wisdom
and favour and God can move in someone‘s heart who can change
your life forever! Weekly giving is prayerful giving and is all about
sacrifice!

34. WHY I DO IT?
I need lots of wisdom and lots of favor with man to achieve
my dreams. Money is not enough, I need doors to open in
business, governement and I need favor with the public.
Thus, every time I give, I confess over my sacrifice and
strengthen my faith.
We don‟t need to sacrifice lambs and stuff anymore, but
money sure as heck counts as a blood sacrifice! I don‟t just
toss it in the basket, I lay it on the altar! Jesus paid for my sin
with his blood, I‟ll pay with mine to get the revelation of His
sacrifice into every mind out there!

35. 3 – THE POOR
Matthew 19:21
21 Jesus answered, ―If you want to be perfect, go, sell your
possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in
heaven. Then come, follow me.‖
Proverbs 14:31
31 Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honours God.
This is the only kind of PHYSICAL giving where you actually store
up treasures for yourself in heaven.

36. WHY I DO IT.
It is my assignment.
All that I am and all that I have goes to this particular department.
Time, energy, money… I chuck it all into destroying poverty and
it‘s mother – ignorance.
Riches being stored up in heaven for me is cool and all but I
honestly don‘t worry about the rewards part.
HIS kingdom come, HIS will be done on earth as it is in
heaven!  All I care about.

37. 4 – MEN OF GOD
We should all be „men and women of God‟ but I use the term
in its traditional context as is widely accepted in the same
way that „church‟ is understood to be a weekly meeting in a
building as opposed to the entire body of Christ.
Just helps you sort it out in your mind.
Before I go further, as the teacher of this message I cannot
accept any direct gifts – this may cause people to stumble
and would defeat the purpose of this message.

38. 1 TIMOTHY 5:17-18
17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double
honour, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For Scripture says, ―Do
not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,‖ and ―The worker deserves his wages.‖
A lot of people think ‗honour‘ means ‗respect‘ and it does in many ways but here in this
passage you see how God feels about financially blessing those who give themselves to
his full time service.
To the wise, secure, selfless Christian, „honour‟ is spelt M.O.N.E.Y  those who
love it cling to it like crazy and will even leave church if the subject is brought up.
Even though giving is a MAJOR theme in the bible, old testament AND new!
Check what happens when you take care of God‟s servants:

39. KINGS 17:10-15
10 So Elijah went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was
there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, ―Would you bring me a
little water in a jar so I may have a drink?‖ 11 As she was going to get it, he
called, ―And bring me, please, a piece of bread.‖
12 ―As surely as the LORD your God lives,‖ she replied, ―I don‘t have any
bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am
gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my
son, that we may eat it—and die.‖
13 Elijah said to her, ―Don‘t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But
first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to
me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what
theLORD, the God of Israel, says: ‗The jar of flour will not be used up and the
jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.‘‖
15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day
for Elijah and for the woman and her family.

It is the ultimate catalyst for physical, financial blessing.
Tithing, first fruits and Church giving all unlock wisdom and
favor.
Giving to the poor stores up riches in heaven.
Blessing an emissary of God creates massive multiplication.
We see it with the bread and fish which were brought to
Jesus, the oil and flour with Elisha and…

1 Chronicles 13:14-14
14 The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his
house for three months, and the LORD blessed his household and
everything he had.
Those who have dedicated their lives to carry God‘s word are like
the Ark of the Covenant (The ark contained the 10
commandments).
I bless them because it brings massive blessing on my house and
brings me great favour wherever I go. God does not play when
it comes to blessing those who look after his servants!

SOW?
When your faith is high.
If your faith is low, it‟s like sowing in winter. Hard
ground, very little rain (faith) and extreme temperatures
(stress).
You need to sow when you find fertile soil (one of the big
four) and a rainy season (high levels of faith).
The best time to sow is the exact moment your faith feels
pumped up. Usually a revival service at church, worship
session at home, vision casting session etc. really build your
faith.

Thank you Father for wisdom and favour!
Thank you for favour with my employers, favour with my clients and favour
with you!
Thank you that the floodgates of heaven are open and the insight of
Solomon is mine!
