that are non superimposable. In an achiral enviroment, they do not rotate plane polarized light with the
same ability, but they exhibit the same physical and chemical properties. In a chiral enviroment,

what determines the direction that it will rotate light. Light will either be rotated to the left or to the

krypton. The krypton we are talking about is the kind you find on the periodic table, and even in many

Superman, the element krypton has some pretty super qualities of its own.
History
Krypton was founded by the Scottish and English chemists, Sir William Ramsay and Morris William
Travers on May 30, 1898 ( The Element Krypton, n.d.). Their goal was to find noble gas elements in
the last unknown 0.05% of air by liquefying and evaporating air (Newton, 2010). Ramsay and Travers
were able to liquefy it by cooling the elements, primarily oxygen, nitrogen and argon, in air to the
