The study investigates the environmental and socio-economic impacts of residential buildings near the Olusosun landfill site in Lagos, Nigeria, focusing on those within 200-500 meters of the site. Findings indicate that proximity to the landfill adversely affects residents' health and depresses property values, while no significant correlation was found between distance from the landfill and building conditions. Recommendations for improvement include better waste management strategies, legal frameworks, and community engagement to address the challenges posed by the landfill.
