Yalta's Sea Promenade is the main street of Yalta and a nice
walking area.
150 years ago a post road from Sevastopol to Yalta was built.
A ‘place Yalta’ originated from Polikurovskiy Hill. After that along the
post road the houses appeared. The road received its name
‘The Post Street’, and in the second half of XIX century it was named
Aleksandrovskyi Road. It was a narrow and noisy street.
In the Soviet time it was named The Lenin’s Embankment. It was
planted with plants and palm trees. When it was closed for cars, it
became a wide boulevard.
Now the street is wide and beautiful and it is a very popular place
among the residents of the city and tourists.
It is the site of several hotels, restaurants, cafes. There is a movie
