The Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band formed in 2002 in Sheffield. The band currently consists of four members: Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley, and Matt Helders. They have released four studio albums between 2006-2011. Their debut album became the fastest-selling debut album in British history. The band is known for coming to public attention through the internet rather than traditional promotion methods.
