Ohio Workforce Guarantee For companies in the following industry drivers: Advanced Energy and Environmental Technologies Aeronautics/Aviation Agriculture and Food Products Biomedical/Bioproducts Distribution/Logistics Instrument Controls and Electronics Motor Vehicles and Parts Manufacturing Polymer and Advanced Materials Corporate and Professional Services
Types of Training  Grants will Target Technical Training  (CNC, PLC) for transferrable skills, may include certification (this includes maintenance and trades) Pre-employment Training  with intent to hire full time Quality, Lean, Process Improvements  (including software that is new and required for processes) Industry Specific Safety Training  for Specialized Industries (example: Nuclear Power Plants) First Time Supervisory Skills
Some things stay the same… 10.88 per hour minimum EPA, Tax Checks and other regulatory checks Retention and expansion, number trained will be tracked Two year grants
Some things have changed…  Reimbursement at 75%  Other expenses capped at 10% of the grant: Curriculum Development Travel Expenses Assessment  Grant awards for employers  will be based on number of employees
Initial Visit  “Pre-qualify” a company based on a tour of their facility and discussion of their project  Company choice on training providers is paramount  All grant funding can be used in tandem with Targeted Industry Grants
