Salary Increase Proposal Develop a salary increase proposal including both across-the-board and merit increase components.
Outstanding Faculty and Staff Recognition Program Review existing employee recognition programs.  Develop an annual program to recognize outstanding employees in various employment categories throughout the University.
Outstanding Student Recognition Program Review current student recognition programs with a view toward more public recognition of outstanding student accomplishments.
Critical Success Factors Project Critical measures of operating success and customer satisfaction will be established for many support services units. These data will be accumulated monthly, performance will be assessed and, where necessary, corrective action will be inititiated.
Customer Satisfaction Survey and Evaluation Work Group A customer (employee) satisfaction survey will be randomly, electronically triggered via e-mail when various customer services are provided.  The survey will require approximately two minutes of the customer’s time.  Data will be collected and shared with service providers. Where necessary, a corrective action proposal intended to improve customer services will be prepared by unit directors.
UAEU Management Structure Reorganization Proposal Develop a proposed new organizational chart and a rationale for proposed changes
Salary Administration, Classification and Job Title Work Group Develop a salary administration, classification and job title plan for the UAEU based upon UAE expatriate market surveys and the College and University Personnel Association (CUPA) management and professional salary surveys.
Review Staffing Levels in Support Units Compare data from selected benchmark universities related to staffing ratios in support service units, and review current Price, Waterhouse, Coopers study.
UAEU Technology Plan Develop a plan to evaluate and realign all UAEU technology resources (hardware, software, networks and personnel).  Some resources may be transferred in the interim as per the recent recommendations of the Information System and Data Access Work Group. In addition, unnecessarily duplicative expenditures will be phased out as soon as possible.
Business Information System Planning Work Group Create a plan to develop or purchase an integrated finance, budget and human resources information system which is responsive to management needs and capable of controlling and/or limiting expenditures in all chapters to the approved budget.
Human Resources Reorganization Proposal Evaluate the operations of the human resources department and identify opportunities to better meet the needs of the university and its employees and emphasize strong employee relations and customer service.
Bilingual Customer Services Establish a protocol in service departments enabling communications and reports to be available in both Arabic and English. Where possible, use technology to accomplish this goal.
Admissions Standards and Enrollment Proposal Review and document findings related to student success and student faculty ratios at UAEU.  Propose admissions standards and enrollment limits congruent with the research findings and maintenance of quality academic programs.
Student Affairs Proposal Complete evaluation of the Student Affairs operation, the services it provides and the level of student satisfaction with those services. Review opportunities to improve service quality and student satisfaction.
