JerseyCat is New Jersey's virtual catalog and interlibrary loan system that was implemented to serve the state's public, academic, school and special libraries. It uses a hybrid system of Z39.50 technology to search library catalogs that support it, and a union catalog for smaller libraries. The system was migrated to a new vendor's platform to allow inclusion of more libraries and to improve performance issues. Training and support is provided to users through various methods like hands-on sessions, webinars and an online help desk.
