Tesla launched several electric vehicle models including the Model S sedan in 2012, the Model X SUV in 2015, the Model 3 sedan in 2017 as their more affordable mass market vehicle, and the Model Y SUV in 2019. They also unveiled semi-truck and pickup truck prototypes called the Tesla Semi and Cybertruck with the goal of making electric vehicles the standard across multiple vehicle classes.
