Trauma Essay
Development of Systems that Promote Evidence Based Treatments for Trauma Associated with Child
Maltreatment
In 2012, a report by the Attorney General s National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence
indicated that over 46 million children residing in the United States were most likely to have their
lives affected by violence, crime, abuse, or psychological trauma in that year (Klain, White, 2013).
The task force recommended that every concerned group serving children exposed to violence and
mental trauma should establish and provide trauma informed care and trauma focused services to the
affected children. The targeted groups include child welfare system stakeholders, professionals, and
advocates concerned with helping these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The function of this model is to improve the process of identifying, engaging, and delivering services
to children experiencing trauma by various child welfare systems. The Institute of Healthcare
Improvement (IHI) created this model with the aim of bringing together subject matter professionals
with application experts to help concerned organizations choose, test, and execute changes in direct
service delivery (Grayson, Childress, Baker, Hatchett, 2012). However, most agencies have not been
able to embrace this change hence making it difficult to translate evidence into mental health policy.
Failure to Report Cases of Child Maltreatment
Studies have shown that many people fail to report cases of traumatic childhood events to the
concerned authorities. Such activities include child abuse, violence, and other forms of maltreatment.
Research also shows that the reaction of children to trauma differ depending on the resiliency of the
affected child and his or her age. For instance, preschool and young children may not be in a position
to develop the ability to identify areas where they can find security and thus establish great fear in
response to trauma. Sometimes, the concern can extend beyond the circumstances of the traumatic
event. Also, the caregivers in foster homes may not be in a position to notice any signs of traumatic
stress in the child. Such symptoms that go

Does The Right To Religion Include The Right To Impose...
Does the right to religion include the right to impose your views on others? Does it include the right to
impose on customers and patients seeking services that you offer to the public? Does it include the
right for buisnesses to slam the door on customers in their shops, in their bakieries, in their hospitals
because they disagree with the person seeking services personal life? Why is it that businesses allowed
to use religion as an excuse for this blatant discrimination against the LGBTQ community?
In history, conflicts of this nature are not uncommon; in the civil rights era, we witnessed resistance to
racial integration on basis of religious liberty. Take for example, Piggie Park, a barbecue franchise in
South Carolina. The owner argued that, his religious beliefs compel[ed] him to oppose any integration
of the races whatever. In the case Loving v. Virginia, religion was also involved with resisting
interracial marriage. The court judge had stated that, Almighty God...did not intend for the races to
mix. In every case, the court found the principals of non discrimination to outweigh the concerns over
religious freedom. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, these exeptions should not be permitted any more than those that renounce civil rights or
equal pay for women on basis of religious belief. While the Constitution protects the rights of
individuals to have diverse religious beliefs, the right to extend religious practices does not extend to
behaviour that threatens the rights, welfare, or wellbeing of others. So why is it that hospitals are able
to refuse to preform a surgery on transgender persons? Why can health insurance providers refuse to
cover hormone treatments and other essential medical needs for some in the LGBTQ

Flag Raisers In Flags Of Our Fathers By James Bradley
In the book Flags of our Fathers by James Bradley, it follows the lives of the six flag raisers. The book
shows their early lives, military training, fierce fighting between armed forces and their lives
afterward. The flag raisers motivated young men to have great courage in the face of danger. Iwo Jima
was a very important battle between the United States Armed Forces and the Japanese Empire. It was
one of the worst battles of World War II. The U.S fought for and captured the island of Iwo Jima. The
battle of Iwo Jima led to discoveries of true heroes and lessons learned. Flags of our Fathers follows
six flag raisers, Rene Gagnon, Ira Hayes, Mike Strank, Harlon Block, and Franklin Sousley. The six
flag raisers were made famous by a picture taking of the flag raising ... Show more content on

Flag of our Fathers really motivates young people to have courage although the action that they are
doing is very dangerous. Being involved in a battle is very risky and you can lose your life. Franklin
Sousley, Harlon Block, and Michael Strank did not survive the battle however they had great courage
and was very valor. If those who fought in the battle of Iwo Jima didn t have such great courage, the
battle would not have been successful.Seeing the flag raisers risk their life definitely motivated lung
men to have valor. The real heroes of Iwo Jima were the guys who didn t come back and gave their
lives for their country. John Bradley says to his son James, Your teacher said something about heroes...
I want you to always remember something. The heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who didn t come
back. James had asked his father to give him a speech about heroes to his classroom. John claimed
that he did not attend any of the reunions because he would not be able to be himself since he has been
basically the only one called out for his role in the photograph for raising the flag. James felt as if his

Emily Dickinson Transcendentalism
Emily Dickinson is a well known name in literature not only among connoisseurs of poetry, but also to
the novice reader. She is most commonly known for her macabre and spooky poems about death or an
experience of dying. However, the number of poems Emily wrote about nature and her spirituality far
outnumber the mysterious and eerie. During Emily s lifetime, a new way of thinking swept across the
eastern United States. Transcendentalism was a budding philosophical idea popularized in the late
1830 s. The core beliefs of this movement were the focus on the oneness with the self, nature, and
God. From these set beliefs, it becomes easy to see Emily Dickinson in a new light. No longer does
she appear the dark and dreary loner that she is famous for personifying. Conversely, she transforms
into a being that was far more in tune with nature and her true self. Emily Dickinson s poetry gives a
direct reference to transcendentalism by exploring the relationships between nature, spirituality, and
the true self. Beginning in the mid 1800 s, transcendentalism was a unique movement specific to the
United States. Commonly referred to as the American Renaissance, the movement began as a rebellion
against the staunchness of Christian life. Coupled with the idea that all humans are innately good and
there is oneness in nature and spirituality, transcendentalism clashed with the Puritan ideals that were
prevalent during the era. New England Transcendentalism originated in the area around Concord,
Massachusetts, and from 1830 to 1855 represented a battle between the younger and older generations
and the emergence of a new national culture based on native materials. ( Transcendentalism ). Focused
mainly on the eastern coast, it had a profound influence on many of the times writers and thinkers.
Among the most noted authors that adhered to this up and coming philiosophy was Ralph Waldo
Emmerson. Made famous by several of his speeches and essays, Emmerson brought transcendentalism
into the consciousness of the American public. Calling for all people to look within themselves for
spiritual exploration and finding their true self contrasted drastically with Christianity, which was
dominant in the nation. Emmerson challenged

Chemistry Lab On And Electric Vehicle
I ve learned so much from working and competing in Science Olympiad. There were four
competitions that were scheduled for me to compete in: Forensics, Chemistry Lab, Game On and
Electric Vehicle. There was a lot of preparation and commitment that had to be put in. A slight mishap
happened in Forensics we found out that only two teams could compete, so my team had to drop out ,
Chemistry Lab was mainly basic kinetics and gas laws during Game On we had to learn Scratch and
then use that knowledge to create a game, The last event was Keltic Vehicle, in this event we had to
pre design a vehicle. It would be scored by how accurate it was. I am glad I was able to pick the
events to see if would really enjoy that class or occupation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It helped working together because we could share ideas to each other. The Scratch program was
simple and easy to master. We did really well at studying and mastering the program.
There were some issues with designing the background and characters. The limited time made it hard
to make a complicated and interesting game. The game wasn t as accurate as we had hoped but it was
one of my favorites. We also actually knew what we were doing. With the knowledge in Scratch I
know that I ll do better next year. Doing gome on made me realise how much I enjoyed programming,
and I know that skill will come in handy later in life.
For Electric Vehicle I learned that time is very important with designing and programming but
working on the vehicle was different we remodeled it about three times to make it work correctly and
stop swerving to the left. The rules were simple: make the vehicle come to a complete stop when it
hits the set distance. Our way of building the vehicle was to base it on a click system; in the system we
had buttons that had a certain amount of time it would make the motors go for. The rules stated that
the vehicle had to be between nine to twelve meters , (in distance of which it could travel), but at the
competition it was eleven meters. When preparing for the distance runs we had to figure out how
many clicks it took to go one meter. Unfortunately, it was a little more complex; it accelerated so it
didn t go at a linear rate,

Implications Of Plato s Censorship Of Poetry In The Republic
In the Republic, Plato proposes the complete censorship of imitative poetry from his ideal city,
arguing that it corrupts individuals souls and therefore has a negative effect on society, resulting in
injustice within the city. Although seemingly trivial at first, when considered within its proper context,
the censorship of imitative poetry from the city would result in severe consequences. Throughout this
essay I will discuss the political and psychological implications of its censorship, and will also refute
Plato s argument, showing how it lacks soundness: notably, through a criticism of his epistemology.
Regarding the political implications of the censorship of poetry, I will draw from the ideas of Karl
Popper, who argued Plato to be one of the most influential philosophers on the emergence of
totalitarian regimes in the 20th century, laying the foundations for their very existence (K. Popper,
1945). I will also show how poets themselves have an important political role within cities, in that
they enable the general population to hold the state accountable for their actions. To discuss the
psychological implications of poetry s censorship, I will compare the contrasting views of Plato and
Aristotle regarding its effect on the soul, whereby Aristotle claims that poetry actually has beneficial,
cathartic effects. Following these criticisms, it will become apparent that Plato s proposed ban of
imitative poetry is indefensible.
Firstly, to fully understand Plato s proposal

Neutrinos Research Paper
Recently, scientists found the first known evidence of oscillating neutrinos, and have come to believe
that they re getting very close to understanding these bizarre particles.
FERMILAB LAUNCHES NEUTRINOS FARTHER
This scientific advancement is the result of Fermilab s ongoing NOvA experiment, which hopes to
uncover the secrets of those elusive particles called neutrinos. The study released its final results
earlier this week. The experiment s gigantic particle detector is capable of detecting neutrinos fired
from an impressive 500 miles distance, but the scientists are having a hard time forming significant
conclusions from this recent success. It s incumbent for these quantum physicists to progress their
theories because to understand which neutrinos are heavier or lighter will help us construct theories
about how these particles accumulate mass. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Department of Energy s Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. For all the people who worked over
the course of a decade on the designing, building, commissioning and operating this experiment, it s

FERMILAB S EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
In order to detect these far flung neutrinos, Fermilab s neutrino beam uses an underground detector
capable of measuring the neutrino composition of each shot. After being fired, the neutrinos oscillate
500 miles through the Earth s crust. When one of the neutrinos collides with one of the atoms in the
detector, a signature trail of particles and light is released which is used to identify the neutrino as an
electron, muon or tau. Most neutrinos shot out of Fermilab are composed of muons, but because of
this experimental method, scientists can actually infer how many are transform in transit from muon to
electron.

Hyperbole In Downsiders
Some humans can t accept difference. Most humans are locked up in a world where everyone has to
be just like them. The novel Downsiders by Neal Shusterman is an example of this. The novel has the
theme that when people separate into groups and cultures, they have a hard time understanding the
opposite and tend to judge. But those who accept, benefit greatly. The Author used an extravagant
amount of literary devices that have to do with the theme of accepting difference. The hyperbole A
frenzied group of crazed topsiders, (page 47) is an example. It s a great example of the theme because
it shows the opinion and viewpoint the downsiders have of the topsiders. Through reading the quote
you can get a sense that the downsiders want nothing to do with the topsiders and that they think the
topsiders run around pointless and don t get anywhere. The quote also has some connotation in it, with

A big part of the hero s journey that is present in the book is when the hero is encouraged by the
elderly. With the Champ being the old wise person in the book, he says, sometimes people have the
stuff just lying around, you know? Nevermind, I shouldn t have suggested it, and this is some of the
advice he gives Talon. He was able to give Talon advice and connect to the theme. The Champ was
actually trying to fix the problem the theme states and bring together the two worlds by sending Talon
up to the topside for medicine. This advice benefits him greatly and gives him a glance of the other
world, which by the end of the book, he comes to accept and enjoy. Another variation of this is when
the champ gives knowledge to Lindsay. For example, when he says, Have you ever heard of a man
named Alfred Beach? This is what eventually leads Lindsay to find out the history of the Downside
and how they came to well being in the place. This was a very important event to the plot and for

How Did The Suez Crisis Change Canada
During the 1950s Canadian lives and history changed forever. The Suez Crisis was a political and
military confrontation in Egypt that had a threat on the US and Great Britain. The Crisis brought
Canadians together to help produce a large scale peacemaking mission. Canada s role in the Korean
war was to protect South Korea as part of the United Nations and to work as peacekeepers after the
war had ended. This war was the first time that women joined senior military ranks, a huge step for
Canada and equal rights. Another major event that transformed Canadian history was the creation of

harming the Western military alliance the won the second world war. Canadian Lester B. Pearson
worked hard to find a solution that would allow the British, Israelites, and French to save lives and
head home. As the crisis began to escalate Pearson proposed the idea of the first United Nations peace

Washington it was not allowed. Instead Pearson abandons this idea and proposes a real UN force
without British or French forces. Finally in early November, the General Assembly showed incredible
support for his proposal to secure and supervise the cessation of hostilities . (Colyer, Cecillon, Draper,

world for decades to come. (Tattrie, 2015,

I Am Not One Standard Belief
I am not one to limit myself of one standard belief. I believe that anybody could offer their opinion
and change my whole mind set on an issue. Therefore, there needs to be a party that accepts change
and new and fresh opinions on certain issues. My party name will relate with the definition of having
multiple opinions on one or more subjects and develop in different directions, divergence. The beliefs
that my party holds are subject to change due to the opinions and ideas of others. This party s ideas
and beliefs can change over time. This is what makes my party so significantly different as the views
of the people will be different but the decisions will be compromises. The views of my party are not
set in stone because greater ideas can shape my party in a different direction, but the purpose of my
party is to reach the people who have multiple opinions and ideas that will help keep America strong,
liberated, and great with a compromise. The political beliefs behind the party Divergent may be

Meaning Of Medieval Feudals
Medieval Vassals
Medieval Vassals (Intro)
During the medieval period, kings ruled large areas of land. In order to protect these lands from
invasion, the king would give portions of their lands to the local lords which were called the Vassals.
They governed the lands granted to them by the king and promised to defend it against conquerors.
Medieval Vassals Definition
Medieval vassals was believed to have been derived from the Latin word vassallus and the Roman
word vassus, which means servant. However, it was also said to have originated from the Celtic and
Welsh term gwas which means a young male feudal tenant.
In the feudal system, Medieval Vassals by definition were people granted the use of a King s land in
return for their services, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The term vassal originally emerged during the medieval era of the middle ages as the feudal system
was established in England in 1066 after the rest of the country was claimed by William, The
Conqueror.
Medieval Vassals History
The first vassals during the medieval period came from England and were appointed right after the
Norman Conquest. When William the Conqueror invaded the country, all estates that belonged to
England were declared as his property. And to give honor to the Normal soldiers who fought with him
during the conquest, he awarded majority of the lands to them.
After William gained control, the Norman soldier who became and were declared Lords of these lands
began to rule with him. Noble men became Lords and lower military officers became vassals. The idea
of awarding the lands to the Lords basically was to assist the new ruler in protecting the kingdom from
invasion as each Lord was in charged of protecting his own land.
The Medieval Vassals Land
The medieval vassal lands varied in size. The average size of these land, known as fief, were as small
as 1200 acres and as big as 1800 acres. Most of the feudal lands consisted of farm and cultural lands.
Meanwhile, the vassals either lived in castles of the lords or they owned their own

Charles Bailey And Martha Nussbaum
This essay is conceived with the purpose of demonstrating personal understanding of liberal education
as a result of assessing historic theory of Aristotle and comparing the contemporary theories of
Charles Bailey and Martha Nussbaum. In addition, the applicable situations of liberal education and
its governing principles will be discussed. Specifically, given the inevitable engagement of
compulsory education, which is inherently authoritarian, some aspects of liberal education are limited,
and full personal autonomy cannot be actualized. In this situation, liberal education would be less
effective and less suitable due to the loss of freedom to some degree. However, the importance of
liberal education is vital in breaking old cultural and religious world views to produce open minded
students who are capable of critical thinking. In addition, more benefits of liberal education will be
shown in my later analysis by comparing it to education that is straightly vocational.
The word liberal originates from the Latin liberalis , meaning free men who have been taken out of
servitude. A liberal society can be considered one composed of autonomous people who are capable of

Summary Of Great Expectations Notes
Joseph Slovick Mr. Alsedek 535 02 1 February 2016 Great Expectations Notes Chapters 1 3: The
narrator introduces himself as Philip Pirrip, or Pip for short; the man in question effectively gave
himself this name when he could not pronounce his real name as an infant, managing only Pip. Pip
portrays himself as an impressionable child by telling the story of his encounter with an escaped
convict as a young boy. The shackled convict makes demands of young Pip then lets him go, leaving
Pip the option of seeking help from police or family, but Pip follows through on the demands the
convict gave. Perhaps if not impressionable, Pip is too compassionate for his own good. In addition to
himself and the convict, Pip also introduces his older sister and her husband, Mrs. Joe and Joe,
respectively. His sister is quite commanding, but her household, with Joe adding some compassion
and gentleness, pales in comparison to the surrounding marshes apparently overpopulated with
recently escaped convicts. Chapters 4 7: Pip furthers his portrayal as an impressionable,
compassionate individual by showing fear for both himself and his convict when a few police officers
barge into his home during dinner, though he calms down when they just ask Joe, a blacksmith, to
repair their handcuffs. His fret over being arrested himself can be excused as a normal human reaction,
but fearing for the convict he found hiding in the swamp shows a level or either undying compassion
or complete stupidity, and

Essay about Linda Loman in Arthur Miller s Death of a...
Linda Loman in Arthur Miller s Death of a Salesman
Linda Loman is the heart and soul of the Loman household. She loves her family, even though she is
all too aware of husband s faults and her sons characters. She provides a sharp contrast to the seamy
underbelly of the world of sex, symbolized by the Woman and the prostitutes. They operate in the real
world as part of the impersonal forces that corrupt. Happy equates his unhealthy relationships with
women to taking manufacturer s bribes, and Willy s Boston whore can put him right through to the
buyers. In Arthur Miller s Death of a Salesman, Linda Loman holds the family together through purity
and love she keeps the accounts, encourages her husband, and tries to ... Show more content on

They are thus in an objective rather than subjective category. In any case what feel is always more real
to us than what we know, and we feel the family relationship while we only know the social one.
(Florio 35 36)
If Willy is not totally unsympathetic (and he is not), much of the goodness in him is demonstrated in
his devotion to his wife, according to his lights. Though he is often masterful and curt, he is still
deeply concerned about her: I was fired, and I m looking for a little good news to tell your mother,
because the woman has waited and the woman has suffered. Biff is attached to his mother, and Happy
s hopelessness is most graphic in his failure to be honest with, or concerned about, his family. The
family s devotion to one another, even though misguided, represents a recognizable American ideal.
Linda, for all her warmth and goodness, goes along with her husband and sons in the best success
manual tradition. She tries to protect them from the forces outside and fails. The memory of her
suffering and her fidelity does not keep Willy and Happy from sex or Biff from wandering. Miller s
irony goes still deeper. While Linda is a mirror of goodness and the source of the family s sense of
identity, she is not protection by her silence and her support, she unwittingly cooperates

Nazi Extermination Camps Essay
Nazi Extermination Camps
Anti Semitism reached to extreme levels beginning in 1939, when Polish Jews were regularly rounded
up and shot by members of the SS. Though some of these SS men saw the arbitrary killing of Jews as
a sport, many had to be lubricated with large quantities of alcohol before committing these atrocious
acts. Mental trauma was not uncommon amongst those men who were ordered to murder Jews. The
establishment of extermination camps therefore became the Final Solution to the Jewish Question , as
well as a way to alleviate the mental trauma that grappled the minds of Nazi soldiers. The following
essay will examine various primary and secondary sources to better illuminate the creation, evolution,
practices and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the gas vans of Chelmno were phased out, SS officials began devising new methods of
extermination that would kill more Jews at an accelerated rate. Fischer notes that the Nazis decided
that execution by poison gas in remote annihilation camps was the most efficient and humane method
of murdering the Jews. Aktion Reinhard (named after Reinhard Heydrich who was assassinated in
Czechoslovakia) was the plan aimed to exterminate Polish Jews living within General Government to
the East. Because the Jewish population here was high (2.3 million), three major death camps
equipped with large gas chambers were established. Jews who were considered unfit for work
(including many women and children) were extracted from labor camps to be exterminated. Belzec,
located on the southwest border of former Poland, was the first extermination center initially built to
kill off Jews from the Galicia and Lublin regions in order to make room for German Jews in the labor
camps. Noakes interestingly notes that Belzec was an experimental solution to a regional problem
rather than the start of a Europe wide extermination programme. In other words, Belzec was designed
initially to kill the Jews in the East, while the decision to murder the entirety of Europe s Jewish
population had not yet been realized. According to Noakes,

Political Allegories In Dante s Inferno
Inferno is an allegory of the pilgrimage of the soul and Dante draws on the mythological dimensions
to convey and express the spiritual journey that he is on. Dante construct of hell is his own and his
judgement is reflected by the societal norms which were present during his time. Allegory, in the
traditional definition is a story or poem that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a
moral or political one. Allegorically, the journey which Dante goes on represent the journey of the
soul to reaching spiritual enlightenment. The allegory used in Inferno is unique in the sense that there
is mimetic realism even though there is a fantastical setting. Dante uses political allegories in order to

Up until Canto IX, Virgil has been able to talk his way into the various circles, despite Dante being
human. His words have no value against those who had the guts to oppose Christ so Virgil s words
present no threat to them. This moment when the poets are refused entry shows how words alone, no
longer have the ability to get them out of any situation. Words now are not enough to save one in the
face of sin. The three female Furies have a threatening and fearful presence. Allegorically their
appearance makes us conscious of the threat of sin. The threat of looking into their eyes shows how
witnessing sin is dangerous and how the perfect female nature is rendered perverse. Evil could appeal
to Dante and the reader s sympathies before but this circle is a playground for evil. The three female
Furies show us that Dante s truth and morals have no standing in Hell. Even though this is his
construct of hell, he doesn t have control over what happens. The sinners thus render the poets
immobile. Manipulation can be seen as lying or twisting the truth and thus allegory and symbolism, in
Inferno, although having the ability to depict truth, they also have the ability to alter ones

Drugs and Alcohol Essay
Drugs are heavily used throughout the entire world. However, it is important to understand and not
undermine the variability in which drugs are used. It is clear some are for distinct medical treatment
and others are for recreational use. In the United States, marijuana has been and continues to be a very
controversial drug. Some states have allowed marijuana consumption for medicinal purposes, while
others have completely outlawed the drug. Those who are against the legalization and regulation of
marijuana suggest the economical and health risk associated with consumption of the drug are too
high. Although there is risk involved with the legalization of the marijuana, our country has already
been risking too much banning the drug. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
in Marijuana Facts 1). From an outsider s perspective, one has to ask why is there so much tension and
hesitation in legalizing marijuana? If alcohol is the direct cause of many deaths, while marijuana has
not been responsible for any, it only makes sense that our health would not be our greatest concern in
legalizing the drug. Also, it is important to understand marijuana consumption is less susceptible to
overuse than alcohol or other drugs (Marijuana 10:477). Despite this, critics often argue that marijuana
is a gateway to other more potent and harmful drugs. According to Dr. Halbach of the World Health
Organization there is no pharmacological link between cannabis and opiates (Marijuana 10:477). This
demonstrates the physiological unlikelihood of marijuana being a stepping stone to other more potent
drugs containing opiates. Marijuana does have drawbacks and side effects, as any other drug whether
medicinal or recreational. However, putting the drug in perspective helps one to understand the
contradiction in legalizing other drugs while continuing to ignore marijuana even though it can
beneficial in different capacities. One major way the legalization and regulation of marijuana can
benefit society is for medical use or prescription by a doctor. Critics of this may be quick to assert this
is an excuse to entertain personal interest and satisfaction one would achieve from the drug. However,

Analysis Of Elisabeth Camp s The Socio-Aesthetics Of Pink
What s the problem with pink? In Elisabeth Camp s article The Socio Aesthetics of Pink , the author
explains her hate of the color pink. The author wrote the article because she was worried about her
daughter s love for pink which she believes has an influence on her growth. She believes pink has
become a color that differentiates a girl from a boy, therefore creating a gap between genders.
However, the author failed to address the psychological problems pink might have on girls. In the
article, the author mentioned that her daughter figured out pink is for girls and that s what she wants to
be. Everyone has their own taste and preferences. I d prefer my daughter to play with regular

It doesn t imply any negative ideas about girls or there are no studies that show the impact of pink on
the psychological health of girls. Camp appears to be overthinking the influence the color pink might
have on her kid. Instead of blaming a color, a person should teach their daughter to value themselves
beyond what they re wearing. The color doesn t define who she is or who she s trying to be. It s just
one of infinite colors that exist on Earth. In this generation, pink seems to have been a feminine color
while blue has been a masculine color. There is a difference between what girls and boys like.
Undoubtedly, that s how nature works. The author also mentions the stereotype about girls performing
less on math and engineering. Girls are better in communication and they are also more mature than
boys their age, which is also another common stereotype. Yet, boys continue to be successful. Girls
have never been more educated or more successful as this generation. The number of graduating girls
has increased and more percentages of girls graduate than boys. This shows the opposite of what

The Electronic Communication Privacy Act, 1986
The Electronic Communication Privacy Act,1986
The Electronic Communication Privacy Act,1986 was initially n amendment of the Omnibus Crime
Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (Title III) which was also referred to as Wiretap Statute. This was
an act that was intended to stop government illegal access to the private electronic communications.
With the emergence of other means of electronic communication like the internet, there was a growing
tendency of the government agencies to sneak into the information channels of citizens without their
permission. This was due to the fact that the 1968 Act did not cover the electronic mails that were en
route to their final destination. The courts till 2005 declared that this type of communication was not
covered by the 1986 Act. It was until then that the US Court of Appeal reversed the ruling that has
been barring the e mails from being covered under the privacy provision. The above scenario that the
ECPA had to be amended with the argument that all electronic communication has to be temporarily
stored at some given point in time and the argument that there was no any illegality in any interception
before the communication reaches the destination was null and void. The Electronic Communications
Privacy Act (ECPA) therefore gives the clear guidelines to the access, use, interception, disclosure as
well as privacy protection of the electronic communication. This Act covers electronic communication

Room Is An Independent Drama Feminist Film Essay
Women in media are underrepresented. They are overwhelmingly valued in film based on their
identification as a mother, wife, or lover. This is cause by media such as internet and TV because they
create comparisons by influencing in an individual s viewpoints of society and setting ideals. Mother s
roles in society are and have been watched at as responsible for the development of their children. If
these requirements are not fit by mothers they are looked negatively upon society. Room is an
independent drama feminist film based on Emma Donoghue novel and is directed by Lenny Abramson
in 2015 that changes society s ideals of women as mothers. The film narrates Ma s story of being
captive in a room that only have skylight, four walls, a bed, a tub, and a TV with poor signal with her
son Jack, a child of rape. After seven years, Jack being five, they are able to escape and Ma s
readjustment to society story begin. Through specific choices in cinematography, Abramson creates a
feminist film that contradict the ideals of mothers in film and plays with Ma s strength making her a
strong mother while being captive in room and transforming her into a weak mother when she readjust
to society. Strength, sacrifice and love is an embodiment of mother. She should always know how
much she is worth and shouldn t let anyone define who she is. A mother s feminine power is very
powerful and at the same time supportive. Till their last breath, they will love their child
unconditionally.

The Relationship Between Punishment And Positions Of Power
Positions of Power
Rachel A. Wood
Columbia Southern University
Abstract
The proposed research assess if military individuals in a position of power who have committed a
sexual assault were held to a lesser standard than individuals who were not in a position of power. In
addition, this research examines the perception of the military s belief that a position has its privileges.
This paper defines at least 65 percent of sexual assaults occur at a military location, with 89 percent of
women stating the offender was in the military, and 60 percent of service members said the culprit was
a higher rank, supervisor, or a unit leader (Morral, Gore, Shell, 2014b, p. 101). Furthermore, this
research has shown that more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to an individual s position in the military, could that position determine the reason individuals
have been able to get away with sexual assault and remain in the military? Does the current issue lie
with the military justice system s view on these types of positions? Could it be an issue with the men
in a position of power that make up the top ninety one percent of the highest ranking individuals in the
military (Chemaly, 2014)? Would this propose the reason why they were able to retire or receive a
lesser punishment than those of a lower ranking position? Do the current documented surveys,
methods of collecting data and empirical research show the relationship of outcomes consistently
mitigated, were of those cases involving high ranking individuals in positions of power?
Problem Statement
Has the exposure of sexual assault high profile cases involving positions of power who have received
a lesser conviction than the military members not in a position of power show the difference that they
are not held to the same standard as lower ranking positions? The purpose of this study is to assess the
differences in sexual assault outcomes and if they can be explained by the accused s position of power.
In the military, sexual assault cases have happened more often than

Charismatic Leadership Theory Of Leadership
I. Charismatic Leadership
Introduction to Charismatic Leadership
Charisma has been associated with leaders and leader attributes since time immemorial. Webster s
dictionary defines one meaning of charisma as a divinely inspired gift, grace, or talent, as for
prophesying, healing, and etc. As the definition suggests, the attribute of charisma has long been
associated with religious leaders. Charisma was not formally associated with secular leaders or a
secular charismatic theory of leadership until Max Weber a German sociologist wrote of it in that
context in 1947 (Bryman, Collinson, Grint, Jackson, Uhl Bien, 2011, p. 86).
Since Weber s first suggestions of a charismatic theory of leadership, many others have built upon his
work. Some felt that a charismatic theory of leadership should remain within the confines of a
religious context. As more social, political, and organizational scholars adopted and built upon Weber
s work, the religious only context fell by the wayside. Before proceeding further, the tenets of
charismatic leadership theory must be explained.
Tenets of Charismatic Leadership Theory Researchers have proposed several characteristics of leaders
described as charismatic . The widely accepted characteristics of charismatic leaders are (Bryman et
al., 2011, p. 90 91):
(1) Critical of the status quo.
(2) Sensitivity to subordinate needs and abilities.
(3) Able to recognize deficiencies in the present context.
(4) Characterized by their strategic

Analysis Of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid
Have you ever read a book where you read all about a lousy teenagers problems? Maybe even his
whole life. His crazy embarrassing family, and his weirdo friends. Diary of a Wimpy Kid. A great
book written by the one and only Jeff Kinney. Greg Heffley, the main character, is a wimpy kid and
most likely will never change his ways. Someone tries to tell Gregs father, Frank. Frank tries to get his
son to man up a little bit and signs him up for sports and clubs. Which, obviously did not work. ... I
got down off the deck and started climbing up the tree... I couldn t believe my ears. I guess dad felt
like he owed me for saving him yesterday, and this was his way of paying me back (Kinney 109 and
113). The theme of the novel is to be strong because someone will do something about it. The passage
above connects to this theme because Greg had to man up to climb the tree to retrieve his baby
brothers blanket after he threw it into a tree off of the deck. Afterwards, his father did not want to take
a turn playing a game because he did not want to sit next to someone that he did not like. Therefore
Greg took his place and basically saved his life for the day. Although Greg s ways may never change
he definitely made some progress with manning up on that day. One setting from this novel that is
important to this book is the Heffley household. It is important to the book because if it weren t for the
Heffley house, many events would not have happened. Like Greg s dad finding out his

Greek Intellectual Values
Throughout the time period of 600 BCE to 600 CE, many societies learned to develop innovative
ways of living and flourishing. Many of the views on society and the way they believed a society
should be run overall, impacted the way civilizations are run today. Some of the civilizations that
helped to develop this were Greece, Rome, the Maya, and Alexander the Great s Empire. This age
helped develop different political, cultural and intellectual values. Many of these developments began
in Athens, but other city states also played an important role. One of the political values Greek
civilizations developed is the use of philosophy in the form of humanism. In addition, there cultural
values consisted of try to portray themselves to the gods to seem worthy. Lastly, the Greek s impacted
us through many intellectual values one being, there form of architecture and there way of art in that
specific civilization. But overall Greeks helped to develop forms of literature, philosophy, art, and the
understanding of the world around them.
While these events in Greece occurred a war broke out between Greece and Persia known as the
Persian War. The war occurred in 5th century BCE and had a long lasting effect on Greece. In 599
BCE the Persians conquered a group of people that inhabited Asia Minor called Ionian Greeks. When
the Ionian Greeks found Persian rule to be unjust they requested help from mainland Greeks. Although

The Writer s First Line Generator Summary
The Writer s First Line Generator is a website that has some computer generated assistance if you are
writing. This week wordpress has been encouraging a daily post of flash fiction and it helped me
identify a direction I could take to write my flash fiction post of two days ago.
However, yesterday I went back to the site to see if I could mine it more for inspiration. It suggested
an introduction very, very similar to my post of the twenty fifth. This is what it had for me:
The afternoon when my brother murdered his wife, I became a millionaire s tailor.
I was unhappy that what seemed promising to get some flash fiction rolling was quickly becoming
redundant.
Frankly, this sentence seems a little strange; it was refreshing to have a jump off point two days ago
for flash fiction, but the same general composition would likely result if I went from there. However,
tonight, I m thinking about it, and suddenly I realize I can go to the Content Creation Tool below.
Basically, Spinbot alters a composition so that a substantial numbers of words among the whole of the
piece are turned into different words. The result is amusing, somewhat ... Show more content on

a mogul might have more of an impact than the life of a tailor, in fiction that tailor may be more

18th November, 2014
Abstract
The paper focuses on Entrepreneur s Marketing Source (EMS), a workbook idea owned by Brent
Banda. The study analyses the two options available to Brent on which the future of his company
depends. The first option is the strategic alliance with Imagine and the second option is to work on
workbook which will deal with marketing related issues for small and medium size businesses for
example proper advertising and product development. The advantages and disadvantages related to the
options are discussed with a final recommendation based on personal opinion.
Strategic Alliance with Imagine Alternative As stated in the case study, Brent is not a graphic designer,
thus he relies on other local companies to create finished ads and web pages. Recently he was
approached by a design firm he has worked with named Imagine with a business offer. With Imagine
willing to let EMS share a rented office space the client referral promise, the offer seems worthwhile
but it has its own advantages and disadvantages. The first advantage that Brent has with the alliance is
that he will not have to struggle to look for customers for the reason of Imagine being an established
business with a hefty number of loyal customers. Brent will have access to clients much larger than
those he has at present. The second advantage

  • 2. Trauma Essay Development of Systems that Promote Evidence Based Treatments for Trauma Associated with Child Maltreatment In 2012, a report by the Attorney General s National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence indicated that over 46 million children residing in the United States were most likely to have their lives affected by violence, crime, abuse, or psychological trauma in that year (Klain, White, 2013). The task force recommended that every concerned group serving children exposed to violence and mental trauma should establish and provide trauma informed care and trauma focused services to the affected children. The targeted groups include child welfare system stakeholders, professionals, and advocates concerned with helping these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The function of this model is to improve the process of identifying, engaging, and delivering services to children experiencing trauma by various child welfare systems. The Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) created this model with the aim of bringing together subject matter professionals with application experts to help concerned organizations choose, test, and execute changes in direct service delivery (Grayson, Childress, Baker, Hatchett, 2012). However, most agencies have not been able to embrace this change hence making it difficult to translate evidence into mental health policy. Failure to Report Cases of Child Maltreatment Studies have shown that many people fail to report cases of traumatic childhood events to the concerned authorities. Such activities include child abuse, violence, and other forms of maltreatment. Research also shows that the reaction of children to trauma differ depending on the resiliency of the affected child and his or her age. For instance, preschool and young children may not be in a position to develop the ability to identify areas where they can find security and thus establish great fear in response to trauma. Sometimes, the concern can extend beyond the circumstances of the traumatic event. Also, the caregivers in foster homes may not be in a position to notice any signs of traumatic stress in the child. • 3. Does The Right To Religion Include The Right To Impose... Does the right to religion include the right to impose your views on others? Does it include the right to impose on customers and patients seeking services that you offer to the public? Does it include the right for buisnesses to slam the door on customers in their shops, in their bakieries, in their hospitals because they disagree with the person seeking services personal life? Why is it that businesses allowed to use religion as an excuse for this blatant discrimination against the LGBTQ community? In history, conflicts of this nature are not uncommon; in the civil rights era, we witnessed resistance to racial integration on basis of religious liberty. Take for example, Piggie Park, a barbecue franchise in South Carolina. The owner argued that, his religious beliefs compel[ed] him to oppose any integration of the races whatever. In the case Loving v. Virginia, religion was also involved with resisting interracial marriage. The court judge had stated that, Almighty God...did not intend for the races to mix. In every case, the court found the principals of non discrimination to outweigh the concerns over religious freedom. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, these exeptions should not be permitted any more than those that renounce civil rights or equal pay for women on basis of religious belief. While the Constitution protects the rights of individuals to have diverse religious beliefs, the right to extend religious practices does not extend to behaviour that threatens the rights, welfare, or wellbeing of others. So why is it that hospitals are able to refuse to preform a surgery on transgender persons? Why can health insurance providers refuse to cover hormone treatments and other essential medical needs for some in the LGBTQ ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Flag Raisers In Flags Of Our Fathers By James Bradley In the book Flags of our Fathers by James Bradley, it follows the lives of the six flag raisers. The book shows their early lives, military training, fierce fighting between armed forces and their lives afterward. The flag raisers motivated young men to have great courage in the face of danger. Iwo Jima was a very important battle between the United States Armed Forces and the Japanese Empire. It was one of the worst battles of World War II. The U.S fought for and captured the island of Iwo Jima. The battle of Iwo Jima led to discoveries of true heroes and lessons learned. If those who fought in the battle of Iwo Jima didn t have such great courage, the battle would not have been successful.Seeing the flag raisers risk their life definitely motivated lung men to have valor. The real heroes of Iwo Jima were the guys who didn t come back and gave their lives for their country. John Bradley says to his son James, Your teacher said something about heroes... I want you to always remember something. The heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who didn t come back. James had asked his father to give him a speech about heroes to his classroom. • 5. Emily Dickinson Transcendentalism Emily Dickinson is a well known name in literature not only among connoisseurs of poetry, but also to the novice reader. She is most commonly known for her macabre and spooky poems about death or an experience of dying. However, the number of poems Emily wrote about nature and her spirituality far outnumber the mysterious and eerie. During Emily s lifetime, a new way of thinking swept across the eastern United States. Transcendentalism was a budding philosophical idea popularized in the late 1830 s. The core beliefs of this movement were the focus on the oneness with the self, nature, and God. From these set beliefs, it becomes easy to see Emily Dickinson in a new light. No longer does she appear the dark and dreary loner that she is famous for personifying. Conversely, she transforms into a being that was far more in tune with nature and her true self. Emily Dickinson s poetry gives a direct reference to transcendentalism by exploring the relationships between nature, spirituality, and the true self. Beginning in the mid 1800 s, transcendentalism was a unique movement specific to the United States. Commonly referred to as the American Renaissance, the movement began as a rebellion against the staunchness of Christian life. Coupled with the idea that all humans are innately good and there is oneness in nature and spirituality, transcendentalism clashed with the Puritan ideals that were prevalent during the era. New England Transcendentalism originated in the area around Concord, Massachusetts, and from 1830 to 1855 represented a battle between the younger and older generations and the emergence of a new national culture based on native materials. ( Transcendentalism ). Focused mainly on the eastern coast, it had a profound influence on many of the times writers and thinkers. Among the most noted authors that adhered to this up and coming philiosophy was Ralph Waldo Emmerson. Made famous by several of his speeches and essays, Emmerson brought transcendentalism into the consciousness of the American public. Calling for all people to look within themselves for spiritual exploration and finding their true self contrasted drastically with Christianity, which was dominant in the nation. Emmerson challenged ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There were four competitions that were scheduled for me to compete in: Forensics, Chemistry Lab, Game On and Electric Vehicle. There was a lot of preparation and commitment that had to be put in. A slight mishap happened in Forensics we found out that only two teams could compete, so my team had to drop out , Chemistry Lab was mainly basic kinetics and gas laws during Game On we had to learn Scratch and then use that knowledge to create a game, The last event was Keltic Vehicle, in this event we had to pre design a vehicle. It helped working together because we could share ideas to each other. The Scratch program was simple and easy to master. We did really well at studying and mastering the program. There were some issues with designing the background and characters. The limited time made it hard to make a complicated and interesting game. The game wasn t as accurate as we had hoped but it was one of my favorites. We also actually knew what we were doing. With the knowledge in Scratch I know that I ll do better next year. Doing gome on made me realise how much I enjoyed programming, and I know that skill will come in handy later in life. For Electric Vehicle I learned that time is very important with designing and programming but working on the vehicle was different we remodeled it about three times to make it work correctly and stop swerving to the left. The rules were simple: make the vehicle come to a complete stop when it hits the set distance. Our way of building the vehicle was to base it on a click system; in the system we had buttons that had a certain amount of time it would make the motors go for. The rules stated that the vehicle had to be between nine to twelve meters , (in distance of which it could travel), but at the competition it was eleven meters. When preparing for the distance runs we had to figure out how many clicks it took to go one meter. Unfortunately, it was a little more complex; it accelerated so it didn t go at a linear rate, ... • 8. Implications Of Plato s Censorship Of Poetry In The Republic In the Republic, Plato proposes the complete censorship of imitative poetry from his ideal city, arguing that it corrupts individuals souls and therefore has a negative effect on society, resulting in injustice within the city. Although seemingly trivial at first, when considered within its proper context, the censorship of imitative poetry from the city would result in severe consequences. Throughout this essay I will discuss the political and psychological implications of its censorship, and will also refute Plato s argument, showing how it lacks soundness: notably, through a criticism of his epistemology. Regarding the political implications of the censorship of poetry, I will draw from the ideas of Karl Popper, who argued Plato to be one of the most influential philosophers on the emergence of totalitarian regimes in the 20th century, laying the foundations for their very existence (K. Popper, 1945). I will also show how poets themselves have an important political role within cities, in that they enable the general population to hold the state accountable for their actions. To discuss the psychological implications of poetry s censorship, I will compare the contrasting views of Plato and Aristotle regarding its effect on the soul, whereby Aristotle claims that poetry actually has beneficial, cathartic effects. Following these criticisms, it will become apparent that Plato s proposed ban of imitative poetry is indefensible. Firstly, to fully understand Plato s proposal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Neutrinos Research Paper Recently, scientists found the first known evidence of oscillating neutrinos, and have come to believe that they re getting very close to understanding these bizarre particles. FERMILAB LAUNCHES NEUTRINOS FARTHER This scientific advancement is the result of Fermilab s ongoing NOvA experiment, which hopes to uncover the secrets of those elusive particles called neutrinos. The study released its final results earlier this week. The experiment s gigantic particle detector is capable of detecting neutrinos fired from an impressive 500 miles distance, but the scientists are having a hard time forming significant conclusions from this recent success. It s incumbent for these quantum physicists to progress their theories because to understand which neutrinos are heavier or lighter will help us construct theories about how these particles accumulate mass. ... For all the people who worked over the course of a decade on the designing, building, commissioning and operating this experiment, it s beyond gratifying. FERMILAB S EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE In order to detect these far flung neutrinos, Fermilab s neutrino beam uses an underground detector capable of measuring the neutrino composition of each shot. After being fired, the neutrinos oscillate 500 miles through the Earth s crust. When one of the neutrinos collides with one of the atoms in the detector, a signature trail of particles and light is released which is used to identify the neutrino as an electron, muon or tau. Most neutrinos shot out of Fermilab are composed of muons, but because of this experimental method, scientists can actually infer how many are transform in transit from muon to electron. • 10. Hyperbole In Downsiders Some humans can t accept difference. Most humans are locked up in a world where everyone has to be just like them. The novel Downsiders by Neal Shusterman is an example of this. The novel has the theme that when people separate into groups and cultures, they have a hard time understanding the opposite and tend to judge. But those who accept, benefit greatly. The Author used an extravagant amount of literary devices that have to do with the theme of accepting difference. The hyperbole A frenzied group of crazed topsiders, (page 47) is an example. It s a great example of the theme because it shows the opinion and viewpoint the downsiders have of the topsiders. Through reading the quote you can get a sense that the downsiders want nothing to do with the topsiders and that they think the topsiders run around pointless and don t get anywhere. The quote also has some connotation in it, with the way it says frenzied. It makes you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Suez Crisis was a political and military confrontation in Egypt that had a threat on the US and Great Britain. The Crisis brought Canadians together to help produce a large scale peacemaking mission. Canada s role in the Korean war was to protect South Korea as part of the United Nations and to work as peacekeepers after the war had ended. Pearson worked hard to find a solution that would allow the British, Israelites, and French to save lives and head home. As the crisis began to escalate Pearson proposed the idea of the first United Nations peace keeping force. All things considered because of the outrage in the General Assembly and anger in Washington it was not allowed. Instead Pearson abandons this idea and proposes a real UN force without British or French forces. Finally in early November, the General Assembly showed incredible support for his proposal to secure and supervise the cessation of hostilities . Charles Bailey And Martha Nussbaum This essay is conceived with the purpose of demonstrating personal understanding of liberal education as a result of assessing historic theory of Aristotle and comparing the contemporary theories of Charles Bailey and Martha Nussbaum. In addition, the applicable situations of liberal education and its governing principles will be discussed. Specifically, given the inevitable engagement of compulsory education, which is inherently authoritarian, some aspects of liberal education are limited, and full personal autonomy cannot be actualized. In this situation, liberal education would be less effective and less suitable due to the loss of freedom to some degree. However, the importance of liberal education is vital in breaking old cultural and religious world views to produce open minded students who are capable of critical thinking. In addition, more benefits of liberal education will be shown in my later analysis by comparing it to education that is straightly vocational. Summary Of Great Expectations Notes Joseph Slovick Mr. Alsedek 535 02 1 February 2016 Great Expectations Notes Chapters 1 3: The narrator introduces himself as Philip Pirrip, or Pip for short; the man in question effectively gave himself this name when he could not pronounce his real name as an infant, managing only Pip. Pip portrays himself as an impressionable child by telling the story of his encounter with an escaped convict as a young boy. The shackled convict makes demands of young Pip then lets him go, leaving Pip the option of seeking help from police or family, but Pip follows through on the demands the convict gave. Perhaps if not impressionable, Pip is too compassionate for his own good. In addition to himself and the convict, Pip also introduces his older sister and her husband, Mrs. Joe and Joe, respectively. His sister is quite commanding, but her household, with Joe adding some compassion and gentleness, pales in comparison to the surrounding marshes apparently overpopulated with recently escaped convicts. Chapters 4 7: Pip furthers his portrayal as an impressionable, compassionate individual by showing fear for both himself and his convict when a few police officers barge into his home during dinner, though he calms down when they just ask Joe, a blacksmith, to repair their handcuffs. His fret over being arrested himself can be excused as a normal human reaction, but fearing for the convict he found hiding in the swamp shows a level or either undying compassion or complete stupidity, and ... Aktion Reinhard (named after Reinhard Heydrich who was assassinated in Czechoslovakia) was the plan aimed to exterminate Polish Jews living within General Government to the East. Because the Jewish population here was high (2.3 million), three major death camps equipped with large gas chambers were established. Jews who were considered unfit for work (including many women and children) were extracted from labor camps to be exterminated. Belzec, located on the southwest border of former Poland, was the first extermination center initially built to kill off Jews from the Galicia and Lublin regions in order to make room for German Jews in the labor camps. If alcohol is the direct cause of many deaths, while marijuana has not been responsible for any, it only makes sense that our health would not be our greatest concern in legalizing the drug. Also, it is important to understand marijuana consumption is less susceptible to overuse than alcohol or other drugs (Marijuana 10:477). Despite this, critics often argue that marijuana is a gateway to other more potent and harmful drugs. According to Dr. Halbach of the World Health Organization there is no pharmacological link between cannabis and opiates (Marijuana 10:477). The Electronic Communication Privacy Act, 1986 The Electronic Communication Privacy Act,1986 The Electronic Communication Privacy Act,1986 was initially n amendment of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (Title III) which was also referred to as Wiretap Statute. This was an act that was intended to stop government illegal access to the private electronic communications. With the emergence of other means of electronic communication like the internet, there was a growing tendency of the government agencies to sneak into the information channels of citizens without their permission. This was due to the fact that the 1968 Act did not cover the electronic mails that were en route to their final destination. It was until then that the US Court of Appeal reversed the ruling that has been barring the e mails from being covered under the privacy provision. Charisma was not formally associated with secular leaders or a secular charismatic theory of leadership until Max Weber a German sociologist wrote of it in that context in 1947 (Bryman, Collinson, Grint, Jackson, Uhl Bien, 2011, p. 86). Since Weber s first suggestions of a charismatic theory of leadership, many others have built upon his work. Some felt that a charismatic theory of leadership should remain within the confines of a religious context. As more social, political, and organizational scholars adopted and built upon Weber s work, the religious only context fell by the wayside. Before proceeding further, the tenets of charismatic leadership theory must be explained. Tenets of Charismatic Leadership Theory Researchers have proposed several characteristics of leaders described as charismatic . The widely accepted characteristics of charismatic leaders are (Bryman et al., 2011, p. 90 91): (1) Critical of the status quo. (2) Sensitivity to subordinate needs and abilities. (3) Able to recognize deficiencies in the present context. (4) Characterized by their strategic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Analysis Of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Have you ever read a book where you read all about a lousy teenagers problems? Maybe even his whole life. His crazy embarrassing family, and his weirdo friends. Diary of a Wimpy Kid. A great book written by the one and only Jeff Kinney. Greg Heffley, the main character, is a wimpy kid and most likely will never change his ways. Someone tries to tell Gregs father, Frank. Frank tries to get his son to man up a little bit and signs him up for sports and clubs. Which, obviously did not work. ... I got down off the deck and started climbing up the tree... I couldn t believe my ears. I guess dad felt like he owed me for saving him yesterday, and this was his way of paying me back (Kinney 109 and 113). The theme of the novel is to be strong because someone will do something about it. The passage above connects to this theme because Greg had to man up to climb the tree to retrieve his baby brothers blanket after he threw it into a tree off of the deck. Afterwards, his father did not want to take a turn playing a game because he did not want to sit next to someone that he did not like. Therefore Greg took his place and basically saved his life for the day. Although Greg s ways may never change he definitely made some progress with manning up on that day. One setting from this novel that is important to this book is the Heffley household. It is important to the book because if it weren t for the Heffley house, many events would not have happened. Like Greg s dad finding out his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. The Writer s First Line Generator Summary The Writer s First Line Generator is a website that has some computer generated assistance if you are writing. This week wordpress has been encouraging a daily post of flash fiction and it helped me identify a direction I could take to write my flash fiction post of two days ago. However, yesterday I went back to the site to see if I could mine it more for inspiration. It suggested an introduction very, very similar to my post of the twenty fifth. This is what it had for me: The afternoon when my brother murdered his wife, I became a millionaire s tailor. I was unhappy that what seemed promising to get some flash fiction rolling was quickly becoming redundant. Frankly, this sentence seems a little strange; it was refreshing to have a jump off point two days ago for flash fiction, but the same general composition would likely result if I went from there. However, tonight, I m thinking about it, and suddenly I realize I can go to the Content Creation Tool below. Basically, Spinbot alters a composition so that a substantial numbers of words among the whole of the piece are turned into different words. The result is amusing, somewhat ... The mogul s behaviour is less important overall than the tailor s behaviour, because the story is that of events in the tailor s life as they relate to he or she (and entertain the reader). Whereas in reality a mogul might have more of an impact than the life of a tailor, in fiction that tailor may be more clearly defined as the protagonist and therefore of greater relevance to the story going forward from the introduction suggested by the Writer s Line Generator. A reader could well be moved more by circumstances in the life of a tailor if the reader is involved in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first advantage that Brent has with the alliance is that he will not have to struggle to look for customers for the reason of Imagine being an established business with a hefty number of loyal customers.
