The past decade has seen significant advancement in the field of consumer electronics. Various ‘intelligent’ appliances such as cellular phones, air-conditioners, home security devices, home theatres, etc. are set to realize the concept of a smart home. They have given rise to a Personal Area Network in home environment, where all these appliances can be interconnected and monitored using a single controller.
Busy families and individuals with physical limitation represent an attractive market for home automation and networking. A wireless home network that does not incur additional costs of wiring would be desirable. Bluetooth technology, which has emerged in late 1990s, is an ideal solution for this purpose.

Voice Recognition Wireless Home Automation System Based On ZigbeeIOSR Journals
In the recent years, the Home Automation systems has seen a rapid changes due to introduction of
various wireless technologies The explosion in the wireless technology has seen the emergence of many
standards, especially in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio band. ZigBee is an IEEE 802.15.4
standard for data communications with business and consumer devices. Zigbee is targeted at applications that
requires low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking. Zigbee has a defined rate of 250 kbits/s, best
suited for periodic or intermittent data or a single signal transmission from a sensor or input device. The
wireless home Automation systems is supposed to be implemented in existing home environments, without any
changes in the infrastructure. The automation centers on recognition of voice commands and uses low-power
ZigBee wireless communication modules along with microcontroller. This system is most suitable for the elderly
and the disabled persons especially those who live alone and since recognize voice so it is secure. The home
automation system is intended to control all lights and electrical appliances in a home or office using voice
commands. So in this paperwork our aim is to designed a voice recognition wireless ZigBee based home

Project Report on HOME AUTOMATION USING DTMF.
The Project “Home Automation using mobile communication” has different sections such as:
1.Microcontroller
2.DTMF decoder
3. Relays
. This project we propose a unique System for Home automation utilizing Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) that is paired with a wireless module to provide seamless wireless control over many devices in a house. This user console has many keys, each corresponding to the device that needs to be activated. The encoder encodes the user choice and sends via a GSM transmitter. The GSM receiver receives the modulated signal and demodulates it and the user choice is determined by the DTMF decoder. Based upon this the required appliance is triggered.
The home automation becomes important, because it gives the user the comfortable and easily for using the home devices. The implementation and design of wireless home automation control used two methods, WLAN technology and RF remote control handheld to control of the selective home devices with integral security and protected system. The system is low cost and flexible with the increasing variety of devices to be controlled.
I have completed Smart Home Automation project in which we are combining the concept of smart home and automated home
with the help of IoT.In this project we have used Microcontroller to control our automation components. We have also used Adafruit.io cloud service IoT platform and IFTTT triggers
Abstract: Traditionally electrical appliances in a home are controlled via switches that regulate the electricity to these devices. As the world gets more and more technologically advanced, we find new technology coming in deeper and deeper into our personal lives even at home. Home automation is becoming more and more popular around the world and is becoming a common practice. The process of home automation works by making everything in the house automatically controlled using technology to control and do the jobs that we would normally do manually. Home automation takes care of a lot of different activities in the house. this project we propose a unique System for Home automation utilizing Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) that is paired with a wireless module to provide seamless wireless control over many devices in a house. This user console has many keys, each corresponding to the device that needs to be activated. The encoder encodes the user choice and sends via a FM transmitter. The FM receiver receives the modulated signal and demodulates it and the user choice is determined by the DTMF decoder. Based upon this the required appliance is triggered. Dtmf access the control unit, the user should send an authentication code (DTMF) along with their quire/desired function/action to his/her home control system via Global System for Mobile communication (GSM). Upon being properly authenticated, the cell phone-based interface at home (control unit) would relay the commands to a microcontroller that would perform the required function/action, and return a function completion code that would be sent to the source of the original command (user’s cell phone).

Smithy Ruby is an implementation of Smithy that generates a Ruby SDK using a Smithy model. In this talk, we will explore Smithy and Smithy Ruby to learn how to generate custom feature-rich SDKs that can communicate with any web service, such as a Rails JSON API.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
