The document discusses the relationship between technology and the environment. It provides definitions of technology and environment. While technology makes tasks easier and improves information processing, it can also negatively impact the environment through increased pollution, fossil fuel usage, and ecosystem destruction. Specific technologies discussed include nuclear power, genetic engineering, and oil extraction, which all pose various risks to the environment if not properly regulated. The conclusion notes that technology can have both benefits and harms, so its development and use must be carefully considered to minimize environmental damage.

Greenhouse a building made mainly of glass, with heat & humidity regulated for growing plants. The atmosphere acts like a glass in a greenhouse.
Atmosphere, like glass absorbs some of the long wave radiation emitted by earth and radiates the energy back to earth. In this way temperature of earth is maintained.
The atmosphere surrounding the earth in this manner plays a vital role in maintaining an even temperature on the earth’s surface.
A greenhouse is that body which allows the short wavelength incoming solar radiation to come in, but does not allow the long wave outgoing terrestrial infrared radiation to escape.
The quality of air we breathe is getting degraded everyday. Big Indian cities are becoming one of the most polluted in the world. We are working towards providing better protection against air pollutants and envision ourselves to be an end to end solution provider for providing high quality breathable air. Through a collaborative effort, we provide the insights, products and services that ensure clean air. Generally a person commutes every day for more than 1.5 hrs in major Indian cities and most of it is in heavy traffic pollution. There are a lot of pollutants which if inhaled for longer periods may lead to lung damage and other diseases related to respiratory organs.

Activities of science, technology and industrialization have in no small measure harmed the environment of human kind and endangered their natural life and habitat. Manmade chemical compounds have changed everything about the inhabitants of the earth. Human life is tainted with artificial materials including the food we eat on daily basis. The rapid degradation of the eco-system over the last century, have been the concern of every segment of the world at large. Industrial advancement which has made mankind’s life better has indeed aggravated the earth’s environmental degradation in the areas of global warming, rise in sea levels, oil spillages that is fast threatening the extinction of sea animals, acidic rains, increase in atmospheric Co2, ozone layer depletion, toxic disposition, noise pollution, air pollution and so on. These are the effects of human activities, which has been attributed to the rise of industrialization and overzealous surge for scientific innovations and technological inventions to make life better and easy as envisaged by these groups of scientists and technologists, which is also a concern for the environmentalists, naturalists, and the world at large.
the presentation is most importantly for the ones who are concerned for the environment and human impacts which are harming it. the presentation is making people aware about what they should do to the earth and what not

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2. WhatisEnvironment?
Environment is the total sum of all surroundings of
living organism , including natural forces and other
living things.
WhatisTechnology?
Technology is the collection of techniques, methods
or processes used in the production of goods, services
etc, such as scientific investigation
3. BENEFITS OF TECHNOLOGY
Able to perform everyday tasks faster
Able to process information, manage and
keep records better
Helps people gather information, learn
,enjoy entertainment and communicate
Technology , made human life so easy ,
now it’s been hard to think without it .
4. EffectsofTechnology
Technology In Education Effective Use of
Technology in Classrooms America Schools provide
one of the most diverse environments today. ... Being
in a diverse environment is a great way for students
to get
5. TheEffectofITontheBusinessWorld
This paper is about the way information technology
effects the business world today. ... We will also
analyze the way information technology has affected
the way businesses function and how the have
adapted over the years . Civilization has never
expended as much change as it has over the last
twenty years. ... Every part of our lives are
affected….
6. EffectsofTechnology
Nuclear Power:
Nuclear technology has been around since the middle
of the Twentieth Century; masterminded under
intense global military pressures, nuclear technology
raises many questions about the value of a technology
that has the capability to render the planet unfit for
human occupation. .
7. Clean Energy that gets our world off of
fossil fuels.
Produces less CO2 then Coal or Natural Gas
power plants.
Average Nuclear Power plant produces 20
metric tons of radio active waste.
Chernobyl and Fukushima-Daiichi are two
examples of nuclear disasters that cost
many people their lives and changed the
balance of the countries.
This power can also be misused such as
creating weapons of mass destruction and
atomic bombs.
8. GlobalWarming
This is causing disturbances in ocean flow,
causing severe weather storms
The Polar Icecaps are also melting at an alarming
rate
• This is causing ocean flows to break down
• If this melting continues, their could be a rise
of up to 11 meters in some areas
9. WeaponsofMassDestruction
There are an estimated 19,000 nuclear devices in
the world
4,400 of which are operational
If all active nuclear weapons (4,200) were
launched:
• Nuclear winter would occur for up to one year
• Billions of people will die
• Survivors may become eradiated
• Cancers, and other diseases will become
more common
• Food and water sources will become
contaminated
10. HumanlifedestroyedbyTechnology
Genetic engineering is a process in which
recombinant DNA (rDNA) technology is used to
introduce desirable traits into organisms.
Produces pesticide resistant plants.
Animals can be larger.
Long term health effects of genetically modified
foods are unknown.
Creation of biological weapons such as anthrax
can wipe out humanity.
11. Technology's Effect on Environment
Technology does make activities uncomplicated and genuinely
makes life easier, but how can a person stay physically fit and
healthy when he/she does nothing himself/herself? many
environmental issues are discussed.
Increased pollution
Increased use of fuel
As humans travel globally they carry and spread disease from one
area of the world to another.
Ecosystems destroyed to build runways.
Affects of pesticides on organisms other than the crops sprayed.
12. Technology and the Natural Environment
There has been an increasing concern about the impact
that technology has on the environment
Speed of change in human civilization has been occurring
faster than changes in the natural cycle of the
environment.
• Technology has accelerated the process of
change.
Two major factors have led to an increase in pollution
and the depletion of natural resources.
Accelerated technological and scientific change.
13. DisadvantagesofTechnologyforenvironment
Oil spills such as the Exxon Valdez, result in
the death of aquatic wildlife. The oil coats the
animals bodies and smothers them. The oil is
particularly dangerous to birds, because if the
oil get into the birds feathers, the birds can
possibly die of hypothermia.
14. Conclusion
Consider the impact each technology has on society
and the environment. They can be either positive or
negative impacts.
As a species we have the potential to do amazing
things with the technology we create. As we develop
newer and more sophisticated technologies we may in
fact be the architects of our own demise. So many
technologies have the potential for good or for evil.
We can only hope that technology will continue to be
used to improve our world and not destroy it.
