Technology has benefits but also poses risks to the environment. It has made humans more reliant on machines, without realizing health impacts. For example, oil spills from industry kill aquatic wildlife by coating their bodies. Climate change from increased CO2 is also a problem, with temperatures in the US rising 0.86 Celsius and causing more extreme weather. The polar ice caps are melting rapidly, which could cause ocean currents to break down and sea levels to rise up to 11 meters in some areas. While technology benefits humanity, its environmental impacts must be addressed.

What is Technology
 The use of science in industry,
engineering ,etc.., to invent
useful things or to solve
problems.
 The application of science,
especially to industrial or
commercial objectives.
Today’s Human Nature
 In today’s world, human are
more reliant on machines to do
simple activities.
 Most people do not realized the
health risks they are taking
everyday when they do their
daily tasks.

3. Disadvantages of
Technology for
environment
Oil spills such as the Exxon
Valdez, result in the death of
aquatic wildlife. The oil coats
the animals bodies and smothers
them. The oil is particularly
dangerous to birds, because if
the oil get into the birds
feathers, the birds can possibly
die of hypothermia.

4. Warning
 Temperature in U.S. Alone has
increased by 0.86 Celsius.
 This is causing disturbances in ocean
flew, causing severe weather storms.
 The polar icecaps are also melting at
an alarming rate.
• This is causing ocean flows to break
down.
• If this melting continues, their could
be a rise of up to 11 meters in some
areas.

5. Conclusion
The Technology is a boon for mankind
but if perceived wrongly it has its own
share of problems.
