This device could “bring the world to the classroom,
to make universally available the services of the finest
teachers, the inspiration of the greatest leaders”.
Furthermore, it “will be as common in the classroom
as the blackboard”.

This device “is predestined to revolutionize our
educational system and […] in a few years it will
supplant largely, if not entirely, the use of textbooks”.

analogue lessons
vs.
digital lessons
A digital lesson is more than an
analogue lesson with digital content
attached to it.
A digital lesson is not automatically
a good or successful lesson.
A digital lesson requires effort and
planning. And it can go wrong.
Be prepared.
• Plan efficiently.
• Practise with friends,
  family members, or
  colleagues.
• Be there before the
  lesson begins.
• Have a backup
  solution.
Step#4

Ask for help.
Abbreviations used
by IT support
PEBKAC
Problem exists
between keyboard
and chair.
PICNIC
Problem in chair, not
in computer.
GIYF
Google is your friend.
ID-10T
Take a guess.

toscaskm help.

Step#5

Act.
Do, or do not. There is no ‘try’.
Involve your learners.
Don’t forget the backup plan.
Step#6

Analyse.
Improve.
Repeat.
I’m very bad at English.
Variety is the spice of life.
Analyse.

Learn to walk.
