The Iroquois Indians lived in longhouses made of wood and bark in New York, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Eastern Canada. They survived on a diet of corn, squash, beans, deer, bear and fish. The Iroquois believed in the god Orenda and spoke several languages like Mohawk, Oneida and Seneca. They crafted items such as wampum belts, pots and baskets for trade and decorated with bead necklaces and carved masks.
