 Tata Motors Ltd. Is part of Tata Group.
 Company was established in 1945 as a
    locomotive manufacturing unit.
   It tied up with Daimler-Benz & entered
    commercial vehicle segment in 1954.
   In 1986, the company created & sold first
    Light Commercial Vehicle(LCV) called Tata
    407.
   In 1992,it entered Small Vehicle Segment.
   Cummins Engine Co., Inc., was the first
    company to jointly venture with Tata in
    1993.

   Tata Motors’ presence indeed cuts across length
    and breadth of India.
   It is the leader in commercial vehicles in each
    segment, and among the top three in passenger
    vehicles with winning products in compact ,
    midsize car and utility vehicle segments.
   Over 4 million Tata vehicles ply on Indian roads,
    since the first out in 1954.
   Tata’s dealership , sales , service and spare parts
    network comprises over 3500 touch points.
   The company is establishing a new plant at Sanand
    (Gujarat).
Worldwide
 Tata Motors is the first company from India’s
    engineering sector to be listed in New York Stock
    Exchange.
   In 2004,it acquired The Daewoo Commercial Vehicles
    Company , South Korea’s second largest truck maker ,
    today two-thirds of HCV exports out of South Korea are
    from Tata Daewoo.
   In 2006,it formed a joint venture with Brazil-based
    Marcopolo to manufacture fully built buses & coaches
    for India and select international markets.
   In 2007,it formed a joint venture with Fiat & in 2008,it
    acquired Jaguar Land Rover.
   In 2009,it completely acquired Hispano Carrocera a
    reputed Spanish bus & coach manufacturer.
   Tata Motors has joint venture assembly options in
    Bangladesh , Ukraine and Senegal.
Stock Exchanges
Tata Motors was first listed on NYSE in
 2004.
It created wealth of Rs 320 billion
 during 2001-2006.
It stands among top 10 wealth creators
 in India.
The company’s securities are also
 listed on BSE & NSE.
NSE – share price is Rs 246.05 & BSE –
 share price is Rs 246.(as on 24th august
 2012)
