11. When I was creating the poster I decided to try out two different styles. I decided to not use the grids on the first
one, and use grids for the second. These are demonstrated in the last two slides. I’ve also created a poster that still had the
same layout, but I changed the colours to see which one I preferred. I decided that that the red and black poster worked better
because I believe that the colours suit the style of gig and venue. For this one I used different types of red, which I believe
adds to the poster and makes it look more interesting. I’ve shown my development throughout, and when I was
experimenting with using grids I just moved the boxes around. I found that the title had to be in the biggest font, and the
website addresses would be the smallest. I believe my size choices worked because the eye is drawn to the title of the venue
fist, then to the first band that was playing. I made a list of all the bands in the middle of the page, but I made them quite
small because I believe that the date and the price would draw people in first. I believe that the website links should be small
because people would only be useful if the viewer wanted to go. Overall I believe that my poster looks appropriate for the
type of venue, but I believe that I could have made it better. For example I could have used different fonts. This would have
made my poster seem interesting and unique. The poster that I have done doesn’t look like something that many people will
take an interest in I could have also experimented with more colours and sizes. Overall the sizes for the text will
approximately be the same, but I could have made the names of the bands bigger, so they stand out more.
