The photographer used a clear handheld picture of the model's full face for the magazine cover because it showed important details. Natural lighting was originally planned for the outdoor shoot but it got dark, so indoor lighting from a light bulb was used instead. While some pictures used flash, others did not, and the photographer found pictures without flash made the model's face stand out more. The chosen picture worked well but one picture was rejected because the flash made the model's face look ashier than in person. The overall magazine cover outcome was good after considering different designs and tools. Makeup magazines that post makeup articles regularly inspired the cover's focus on the model's face and eye makeup.

I used this picture because it was standing out to me more, The pictures is more clear, the model
is also showing her full face which gives more detail to what my magazine cover is going to be
about.The way I handled my camera was hand held I used this way because it is easier for my to
move around instead of using a tripod.
Use of mise en scène
The use of props and costume, the model wanted to wear something that felt comfortable for her
so she wore her own clothes which was a top and leather jacket which she felt comfortable in
wearing.

3. Lighting
There are many different types of lighting, such as artificial , tungsten and natural
lighting.When planning my magazine I decided that I wanted to take the pictures
outside in the garden using natural lighting but when my model came it was
starting to get darker outside so we decided to do it in my bedroom using the light
bulb in my room. Overall I think that the pictures turned out better then I planned
because after designing my magazine the background made the foreground stand
out more which was my models face.With two of the pictures I used flash and the
rest I did not, I wanted to see which one would make the models face stand out
more.

The reason why I rejected this
picture was because I used flash
to take this picture which made
the models face look more ashy
than it look in person, but it
was a good picture and it
would have been better if I
didn’t use flash.

9. Outcome
The overall outcome of my magazine cover turned out good. It took me a while to
think of a good design and to pick a picture of my magazine cover. I used different
type of tools for this design and decided to use a big font as a title.

10. What inspired me to make this type of magazine
cover were different type of make-up brands
which post articles about make-up regularly. For
example this make-up magazine has the models
face facing forward so you can see every single
detail in this picture , also her eyes are facing
directly to the camera so the eye make-up
stands out even more especially because she has
bright eyes.
