2. BBC RADIO 1
Each week, nearly 35 million people listen to BBC Radio. The
BBC offers a portfolio of services aimed at offering listeners
the highest quality programmes, whatever their interest or
mood.
BBC Radio is split up into several different stations to
cover every listeners needs & wants.
BBC Radio 1 is a local and very popular radio
station, which plays the latest music to hit the charts
whilst keeping people up to date about our favourite
actors, musicians, bands and celebrity gossip.
A Similar Radio station to Radio 1 would be the highly
supported and successful capital radio, formerly known as
galaxy FM.

3. CAPITAL FM
Statistically the UK’s Number 1 hit music station, supported
by many known music artists, Capital has saw the likes of
countless singers and famous bands such as:
Katy Perry
Connor Maynard
Robbie Williams
The Wanted
Rihanna
Will-i-AM
Capital radio is a specifically based music radio station, which
features music from many known artists, capitals purpose is
to keep people up to date with the latest & upcoming hit
records and to encourage teenagers to listen to the most
recent released compositions.

4. XFM
Launched in 1997in London and joined by Manchester
in March 2006, XFM Focuses on The music Genres of
rock and Indie, with the often rotation of music
crossing through time and other Genres.
Some of the bands that grab the most attention and
fans from stations like these are game changing ones
such as Oasis Blur and The Stone Roses.
XFM is a portion of Global Radio, the leading
commercial radio group in the UK in addition to
being one of the biggest in Europe.
Presented by the likes Jon Holmes and John
Kennedy.
The company is led by Ashley Tabor, Stephen
Miron and Richard Park.
As well as turning their attention to music XFM are
passionate about their presenters and radio shows,
one of which shown in the video below is presented by
the cast of The Ricky Gervais Show.#

5. FSV RADIO
Based in the Pendleton centre of Salford city
college, FSV Radio, completely run by
students, broadcasting to an average of 2,000 pupils.
FSV broadcasted their first life show in November 2012

6. FUSE FM
Fuse FM is a local radio station for the University of
Manchester, Originating in 2001 improving the quality and
production over time.
Fuse broadcasts through the academic year and keep a
record of all their live shows and podcasts for you to view at
you own leisure.
The Radio station is based in the student’s Union area
of the campus.
Fuse are always looking for new talent to add to their
team.
This station does not specialise in anything in particular and
instead choose to cover a wide range of subjects and
audiences.
