Lightbot is complete and uploaded. Some or most of the parts created for the Lightbot took some time to make due to me wanting every tiny bevel to be to a
professional standard, allot of time was taken up for this reason. Some problems with saves and getting used to the tools, in the end I feel fairly comfortable with
the tools in modeller and I am satisfied with my Lightbot finished design.
Project charter is complete. Included when the tasks needed to be done and what needs to be complete and to a better standard if extra time is needed.
Design pack is complete and scanned. Some problems with the use of the graph paper which may cause some problems with the sidekick creation. Because I
didn’t use the graph paper to the exact expectations the sizes were a little off and the placement in modeller was a problem.
Sunday
27.03.13
Sidekicks head torso complete and half of the arm is created. Not sure on the current state of the torso and head changes will possibly be made.
Both the torso and neck have been surfaced. Some problems with the arm, bigger point than needed is there will need to be fixed.
Sunday
02.04.13
A very noticeable change to the chest and the forearm & the head has been replaced to match the style of the new torso. Begun creating the floating fingers, chosen shape:
Bullet like. I found creating the shapes quite difficult compared to the simpler parts such as the head.
Sunday
09.04.13
Whole left arm is complete, Thumbs separately surfaced from the fingers. When assembling the sidekick will mirror limbs. Improved the chest area to give a more wide open
view of the floating limbs. Created a left leg, not sure if it will be final also added a foot which doesn’t go well, looks very pirate like.
Sunday
16.04.13
Improved both the leg & feet for better movement don’t have time to edit the shoe/foot further & quite happy with the result. The leg is now more robot than pirate which is a
success.
Final
Deadline
19.04.13
Begun assembling the sidekick with each part created early this week, all parts now mirrored looking very pleasing to the eye, on the16th
begun adding textures & materialised
surfaces.17th
all textures and surfaces complete, sidekick looks greater than expected but always room for improvement. If was to recreate the things I would change would be
possibly the head and hands other than that im happy with the result.
