The Radio industry is undergoing a digital
revolution – just like TV, and as with all
revolutions many of the outcomes are
uncertain.
The "radio industry" is a generic term for any
companies or public service providers who are
involved with the broadcast of radio stations or
ancillary services.
3. Radio Channels
Kerrang Radio is a great
radio station because it
plays a wide variety of
music which you would
rarely hear on more
popular chart radio
stations such as Heart
or Radio1. They play
different genre’s like
rock, pop-punk, heavy
rock, glam rock, punk
and some metal too for
more alternative
audiences.
BBC Radio 1 is one
of the most famous
radio stations for
playing popular
chart music and for
the celebrities that
appear on their
shows. They play
mostly pop, techno
and R&B but the
occasionally play
rock music.
Heart FM are a
great radio station
because they play
a massive variety
of music to appeal
to lots of different
audiences from
teenagers to the
older generation,
mostly pop, R&B,
some rock and
more relaxed
music are played.

Breakfast with
co-star Jamie
Theakston and
presents her
own show from
5pm to 7pm on
Saturdays.
Nick Grimshaw is
one of the many
presenters from
BBC Radio 1, he
hosts the Radio
One Breakfast
Show every
morning,
replacing Chris
Moyles, he has
also worked in TV.
Kate Lawler is a
presenter on Kerrang
Radio, Kate joined
Kerrang! Radio in
October 2007 and in her
spare time has made a
huge name for herself
on the club scene, DJing
regularly at clubs across
the UK, Europe and
across the world.
5. About KERRANG! Radio Station
Kerrang! Radio is a specialist rock music radio
station broadcasting across the United Kingdom.
The station mixes modern & classic rock with speech
programmes targeted at young people and an adult
rock audience. The station is connected with the
Kerrang! magazine although the radio station has a
more mainstream adult rock output than the
magazine, featuring more indie and alternative
rock.
The night shows are very much fuelled by the
traditional Kerrang! Magazine sound, with a wider
and less mainstream style, playing a mix of punk
and metal bands.
