2. Letterpress printing
• Letterpress printing composed and locks movable types into a press
it then inks it and then it presses paper against it to transfer the ink
from the type which creates and impression on the paper.
Letterpress also includes other forms of printing such as wood

join movable type using hot metal typesetting.
3. Photocopying and laser printing
• Laser printers is your type of personal printer which uses a non
impact keys. The laser beam in the laser printer draws the
document out on a selenium coated which uses some charges. Then
the next stage is being rolled into a toner and the toner sticks fast to
the charged image.
4. Offset Lithograph
• Offset printing can be called offset lithography, it’s a method of
mass-production printing which the images are put on the metal
plates which are transferred to rubber blankets and then it is sent to
the print media. The print media (usually paper) does not touch
with the metal plates which prolongs the life of the plates.
5. Type writer and laptop
• Before laptops there were a typewriter. Typewriters had a letter
which was designed to send a trigger to a stick which has inked
letter on the top which would then print itself on to a paper or a
newspaper. But now technology has changed from type writers to
digital computer where you can put it in your bad and go anywhere
with it.
6. Desktop publishing
• Desktop publishing is a word processor which isn’t always the good
package to do a document. You need more control over the
document your publishing so then you can include graphic e.g.
diagrams and maps and then you will need a desktop publisher e.g.
Microsoft publisher which is more suitable for others. Microsoft
publisher produces newsletters, leaflets and more.
