Most would rate the film U (Universal) and the script intrigued most to watch the film though some were not.

Target audience
- 2. I conducted a questionnaire to find out who our target audience was and their views and opinions which would shape the characters and some themes within the sequence. I used survey monkey to do create this questionnaire which worked well, and I now have quantitative and statistical feedback. My questions were answered by 9 people.
- 3. I asked these questions to gain an insight and find out more about the audience before I asked them about their views and opinions. From this, I found the number of males and females who answered were practically even, there were only slightly more males. This indicates our target audience will be all genders rather than narrowing it down to one. Most people were 16-35 which is why that is the age group chosen for our target audience.
- 4. These questions provided information about the main character of the film. These showed that the main character makes a huge impact on the film, so they needed to be liked and presented as outgoing and friendly. We also found that the majority of the respondents answered that they find it easier to relate to the character if they are similar ages, Sonny fits perfectly with this as he is within the age group of 16-35. The majority answered that male actors were more common than female actors in horror movies as the main character, there was not a big difference between the answers though. Sonny is male which again helps him to fit in with other horror movies.
- 5. It was found that the ethnicity of the main character made no difference to people’s opinions of the film, so we felt we did not need to take into consideration the of the main character when casting.
- 6. The results show the majority of respondents thought men were mostly main characters and a third thought that men and women were equally main characters. However, only a minority of respondents said that women were mainly the main character so we decided to use a male as our main. However, another question indicated that the gender of the main character made no difference to the person’s opinion of the sequence. This shows that it really would not have mattered what gender the character was.
