This document is a research proposal that aims to assess the income levels and expenditure patterns of mango growers in Ejura-Sekye Dumasi Municipality, Ghana. The proposal outlines the background of mango production in Ghana, states the problem of farmers not documenting income and expenses, and lists the objectives as estimating costs of land, materials, labor, and market demand and accessibility. The methodology will survey 100 farmers across 10 villages using questionnaires to collect primary and secondary data on costs and profits. A literature review covers the origin, varieties, and diseases of mango. The expected outcome is to provide information to help boost mango production.
