13. HERBICIDES
Herbicides prevent or eliminate
weeds and thus replace or
reduce manual and mechanical
weeding.
As weeds compete with crops
for sunlight, water and soil
nutrients, herbicides can also
prevent soil erosion and water
loss.
1. RIFIT-
It is a pre-emergence herbicide for control of grasses, sedges and some broad leaf weeds in
transplanted Rice.
It belongs to chemical class, Chloroacetanilide.
Time of Application : 0 to 5 day after transplanting.
Water management is very important.
2. GRAMOXONE
Non-selective post emergence fast acting contact herbicide.
It contains ‘Paraquate Dichloride’.
It acts in presences of light & desiccate green plant parts.
Unique benefits ~ quick kill, controls wide spectrum of weeds, rain fast, inactivated on contact with soil,
prevents soil erosion and cost effective.
3. Axial
It is post emergence selective herbicide for the wheat crop. It controls phalaris which is a key
weed. It is very safe for the present and subsequent crop and is very effective in all weather conditions.
It is post emergence selective herbicide for wheat crop.
It controls phalaris which is a key weed of wheat crop. It is very safe to crop.
Application time – 3-5 leaf stage of weed.

RESEARCH
AND
DEVELOPMENT
INNOVATION IN CROP PROTECTION
1. ACURON-
A herbicide used in cereals, which is based on a new chemical combined with three other active
ingredients. It improves the control of more than 70 weeds that are increasingly difficult for
growers to manage, such as Palmer amaranth and giant ragweed.

from nematodes. It protects the plants throughout the crop’s season and works in variable
environmental conditions.
3. ISABION-
Isabion, a biostimulant, helps young rice plants to better withstand stresses (sudden or extreme
heat and cold). By enhancing a plant’s nutrient uptake, it mitigates the impact of both heat and
cold – something that is particularly important in light of climate change.
4. ADEPIDYN-
It is a new fungicide belonging to the carboxamide chemical class and the first member of a
new chemical group N-methoxy-(phenyl-ethyl)-pyrazole-carboxamide.

Hybrid corn provides high yields even in season-long drought conditions, as well as
in normal weather, when used as part of an integrated approach offered by our
Water+ Intelligent Irrigation platform.
2. ENOGEN-
In the biofuels market, corn with enogen trait makes bio-ethanol production
substantially more efficient. As well as producing more fuel from a given amount of
crop input, it can cut a typical bio-ethanol plant’s water use by around 1.7 million
liters a year.
HYVIDO HYBRID BARLEY-
Hyvido brand of products brings together all our hybrid barley varieties. The
culmination of 20 years’ work, the brand is a world leader in hybrid barley seeds, and
