DEVELOPMENT
INNOVATION IN CROP PROTECTION
1. ACURON-
A herbicide used in cereals, which is based on a new chemical combined with three other active
ingredients. It improves the control of more than 70 weeds that are increasingly difficult for
growers to manage, such as Palmer amaranth and giant ragweed.
2. CLARIVA-

 Highly effective against difficult to control diseases such as Fusarium Head Blight, Botrytis,
Sclerotinia and Corynespora, which cause severe damage on key crops.
INNOVATION
IN
SEEDS
1. AGRISURE ARTESIAN-
Hybrid corn provides high yields even in season-long drought conditions, as well as
in normal weather, when used as part of an integrated approach offered by our
Water+ Intelligent Irrigation platform.
2. ENOGEN-
In the biofuels market, corn with enogen trait makes bio-ethanol production
substantially more efficient. As well as producing more fuel from a given amount of
crop input, it can cut a typical bio-ethanol plant’s water use by around 1.7 million
liters a year.
 HYVIDO HYBRID BARLEY-
Hyvido brand of products brings together all our hybrid barley varieties. The
culmination of 20 years’ work, the brand is a world leader in hybrid barley seeds, and
consistently achieves excellent yields and outstanding quality for growers.
• For a new chemical active ingredient in crop protection, development and
registration take on average 8-10 years and cost around US$260 million.
• For a biotechnology product, such as a new genetically modified (GM) trait, the
average time taken is 13 years and the cost US$136 million.

ISABION- Isabion, a biostimulant, helps young rice plants to better withstand stresses (sudden or extreme heat and cold). By enhancing a plant’s nutrient uptake, it mitigates the impact of both heat and cold – something that is particularly important in light of climate change. 4. ADEPIDYN- It is a new fungicide belonging to the carboxamide chemical class and the first member of a new chemical group N-methoxy-(phenyl-ethyl)-pyrazole-carboxamide.  A step-change in leaf spot control (such as Alternaria and Venturia)  An excellent control of powdery mildew in many crops.  Highly effective against difficult to control diseases such as Fusarium Head Blight, Botrytis, Sclerotinia and Corynespora, which cause severe damage on key crops.
  • 22. INNOVATION IN SEEDS 1. AGRISURE ARTESIAN- Hybrid corn provides high yields even in season-long drought conditions, as well as in normal weather, when used as part of an integrated approach offered by our Water+ Intelligent Irrigation platform. 2. ENOGEN- In the biofuels market, corn with enogen trait makes bio-ethanol production substantially more efficient. As well as producing more fuel from a given amount of crop input, it can cut a typical bio-ethanol plant’s water use by around 1.7 million liters a year.  HYVIDO HYBRID BARLEY- Hyvido brand of products brings together all our hybrid barley varieties. The culmination of 20 years’ work, the brand is a world leader in hybrid barley seeds, and consistently achieves excellent yields and outstanding quality for growers. • For a new chemical active ingredient in crop protection, development and registration take on average 8-10 years and cost around US$260 million. • For a biotechnology product, such as a new genetically modified (GM) trait, the average time taken is 13 years and the cost US$136 million.
