“Your files have been encrypted! To decrypt the files, follow the following instructions…” Behind this dreaded message is much more than the cybercriminal sending it. The deployment of ransomware is often the most visible (and painful) step in a much larger process, in which many criminal actors and activities together form a complex whole. It often drives organizations to desperation. Each stage of the ransomware kill chain offers opportunities to intervene, both offensive as well as defensive. In this session we’ll focus on the defensive side and learn about reducing attack surfaces by detecting and preventing kill-chain attacks at an early stage with the use of Attack Surface Reduction rules.
After this session you’re on par with the latest updates on ASR rules, guidance on how to use them effectively (we don’t accept audit mode) and to gain insights with the help of advanced hunting. This is a must visit session for IT pro’s who wants to break the ransomware kill chain!
This presentation describes the things that entrepreneur needs in order to start a business and run it successfully. In addition it also talks about MICHAEL PORTERS FIVE FORCES in detail.

Adolescence is a turbulent time of changes, social development, and searching for identity. Learn what brain science, gender research, and educational psychology has to say about raising connected and resilient kids that have a healthy sense of friendship and inclusion. How do you maintain connections with your kids, even as they draw away from adults? What is "normal" for these years? This session will help you empathize with your teens and with yourself, as well as inform how you approach your teens in healthy and productive ways.
Folk wisdom tells us young children don't notice differences or have any biases, yet research is telling us otherwise. What are age appropriate ways to develop intentionally inclusive and identity conscious children?
As leaders of our institutions, we need to have strategic vision and global understanding to manage meaningful change. What demographic and philosophical changes make diversity and inclusion an imperative value added rather than a desired additive? What factors help us understand where the school is on the spectrum of exclusive clubs to inclusive organizations? How do we move our communities strategically at the pace that is right for the school? What are some best practices for getting the right people to the school and leveraging their talents? How do we sustain our positive growth over time? Discuss these questions and gather tools to help our schools become the leading edge of cultural competency, inclusion, and equity.
Humans communicate on many levels: spoken language, tone, body language, style and personality. The fact that we have complex cultural identities and a host of differing past experiences increases the probability of cross-cultural miscommunications. This workshop presents major cross-cultural communication theories, ways that cultural values, power, privilege and differences affect the way we communicate, tools for questioning assumptions, and ways to improve cross-cultural communications skills.
How do we learn about our various group identities like female, African American, Buddhist, homosexual, middle class, etc.? From whom do we learn the meaning of these terms? What messages have we internalized about ourselves and others? What are the differences that result in one person having a healthy self identity and another person experiencing own-group shame and hatred? Learn how we can instill positive self identity in our children and coach them to be positive influences on others' identities. Together, we can co-create inclusive communities that work toward success for all.

The Software-Defined Network Story: Automation, Agility and SecuritySirius
Data center architecture has evolved from fixed to virtual and, more recently, to cloud enabled. However, there has always been one missing link delaying the realization of the dynamic, orchestrated data center: the network. IT often has to wait hours, days, or weeks for network administrators to make complex configuration adjustments to each individual network switch and router in order to accommodate new services and changing performance requirements.
Enter software-defined networking (SDN), an up-and-coming technology that may one day make the network as dynamic, automated, and centrally managed as its virtual server and storage brethren.
However, as with any maturing technology, SDN’s evolving standards, architectures and solutions can be confusing for companies trying to figure out when, where, and how to get started. Understanding where SDN is at in the maturity lifecycle is key to seeing its relevance in the data center.
Join us to explore:
--Why organizations are intrigued by SDN and what is required to realize its benefits.
--The different types of SDN's and how to determine the best fit for your organization.
--Core concepts of zero trust networks and why you should build one.
--The speed and agility advantage SDN delivers.
--How you can make the business case for SDN.

Description
The Security Master Redesign(SMR) program is a multi phase work effort to establish a
single, authoritative ( golden copy) security master solution for all asset classes - a new
Enterprise Security Master (ESM) platform for the firm.
The program will implement a vendor provided security master software solution within
Schwab's environment, redirecting ( or establishing new) security data feeds to ESM , and
creating a method of controlling a distributing security description data and end of day
pricing to consuming applications and users. The platform will centralize the
administration of security reference data and define data context rules that take a 'best of
breed' approach on data source between different vendors based on confidence of the
source for given data element. It also aims to improve the quality of security data by
assigning business validation rules determining accuracy and common of a record, and
capturing business and risk benefits of a new security categorization and issuer hierarch
model.
