This document summarizes the Mozambique Coastal City Adaptation Project (CCAP), which aims to increase climate resilience in selected Mozambican coastal cities. The project takes a multidimensional approach through integrating adaptation planning, vulnerability assessment, community engagement, demonstration projects, and capacity building. It promotes climate-resilient urban development by establishing climate-smart city plans, disaster risk management tools, resilient infrastructure, and empowering local governments and communities to prepare for and respond to climate impacts. The overall goal is to create lasting and fundamental change towards increased climate resilience at both the municipal and community levels.
