BLOOD SUPPLY
 The major arterial supply to the oral cavity comes primarily from the
lingual, facial and maxillary arteries which are branches of external
carotid artery.
 The nerves of the oral cavity are primarily branches of the V cranial
nerve i.e. trigeminal nerve, which is made up of large sensory and small
motor branches. Three major branches of this nerve are:
- Opthalmic nerve
- Maxillary nerve
- Mandibular nerve.
 Lingual nerve
 Inferior alveolar nerve.
