Position
and
Duties
Related
to
Projects
My
most
recent
experience
at
TCI
Architects,
Engineers
and
Contractor
consisted
of
many
duties
including,
but
not
limited
to
qualifying
subcontractors/vendors,
contract
writing,
contract
negotiation,
meeting
budget
goals,
expense
monitoring,
R&D,
managing
the
submittal
and
RFI
processes,
conducting
meetings,
distribution
of
minutes,
change
order
processing,
field
operations
coordination,
purchasing,
quality
control
and
overall
project
administration.
I
was
also
responsible
for
some
of
these
tasks
in
my
other
career
experiences
and
internships
prior
to
working
for
TCI.
At
TCI
I
considered
myself
to
be
a
key
player
in
our
operations
in
that
I
fill
the
most
versatile
employee
role.
This
is
due
to
my
involvement
in
all
stages
of
the
projects
I
work
on.
I
filled
a
dual
role
where
I
would
spend
much
of
my
time
on
the
jobsite
providing
valuable
support
to
the
superintendents
and
field
crews
while
also
working
on
my
computer
remotely
performing
typical
project
management
duties
as
I
noted
above
in
my
general
responsibilities
and
tasks.
The
on-­‐site
work
and
field
support
consisted
of
scheduling
work
and
subcontractor
mobilizations,
coordinating
contractor
and
owner
meetings,
distributing
minutes
and
reports,
implementing
quality
control
methods
and
supervision,
enforcing
the
safety
program,
handling
RFI’s
and
plan
discrepancies,
interpreting
specifications
and
their
requirements,
coordinating
submittal
information
with
subcontractors
and
TCI
field
crews,
establishing
relationships
with
the
client
and
contractors
and
updating
internal
office
personnel
with
project
progress
updates
and
scheduling.
In
my
role
at
TCI
I
had
to
utilize
all
of
the
Microsoft
Office
software
programs
including,
Outlook,
Excel,
PowerPoint,
Publisher,
Word,
and
some
Microsoft
Project.
I
also
became
intimately
familiar
with
our
project
management
software,
PM
Web.
This
program
was
utilized
for
contract
writing,
change
order
issuing,
drawing
archiving,
submittal
processing,
RFI
processing
and
overall
administrative
management.
The
summary
of
my
duties
above
applies
to
all
of
the
projects
I
have
listed
below.
The
retail
space
projects
were
mainly
managed
from
the
office
with
minimal
to
no
on-­‐site
time,
however,
I
still
had
involvement
with
field
operations.
I
made
a
point
of
noting
my
on-­‐site
time
for
the
projects
where
I
was
on-­‐site
full
time
or
my
field
involvement
extended
beyond
typical
site
visits.
