This document discusses mobile and contextual learning theory and identifies research challenges in the field. Experts brainstormed and structured 70 statements into 7 clusters of challenges. The top 3 clusters were access to learning (challenges include access to resources anytime/anywhere and including distant learners), contextual learning (challenges include connecting formal/informal contexts and augmenting environments), and orchestrating learning across contexts (challenges include participating in outside activities and documenting experiences). The resulting concept map and analysis of statement relevance and cluster feasibility provide an overview of important challenges for advancing mobile and contextual learning research.
