– An assessment against standards and compliance
requirements
• Understand process performance under varying loads or
when responding to anticipated changes
• Analyze and identify improvement opportunities
• Design a new process/approach for existing processes
• Provide a basis for communication and discussion
• Describe new business operation requirements
