The world is always changing and so are people. People today never see how they evolve physically,
spiritually and educationally. The never question their purpose of living or do they? For many years I
have been puzzled to what my purpose in life is. People need to know what their purpose in life is to
continue living. Growing up in the south during my time was not so bad, but listening to my parents
and grandparents I believe it was pretty rough. This is where my educational phase of life begins to

positive change for people. In history James Brown created a song called I am black and I am proud.
Naturally the song convinced some people to be proud of their race. I thought as a teenager I could
sing a song and even be a star one day. I perform in front of friends and family until my first talent
show gave me a reality check. I did ok but I was not good enough to win, so I left that talent alone. I

obtain their wants and needs. A social story can be defined as a story written to allow a child to

such as displaying aggression. Social stories can be used successfully as an intervention in the
classroom for children ages 4 5 for teaching and modeling appropriate social behaviors. Using social
stories alone may not be as successful as the use of social stories combined with contingencies such
as: Verbal prompting and the use of a response cost token economy where tokens can be used to
obtain rewards. Current research studies which conclude social studies are successful in changing
behavior are being challenged by additional research which concludes prior success may be due to

We decided to research suit therapy in the context of cerebral palsy. Suit therapy is a system of rubber
bands, hooks, and rings that connect a vest, shorts, kneepads, and specially connected shoes
(McMahon, Pruitt Vargus Adams, 2009). There is bungee like cords that continue to tighten and adjust
in order to mimic normal flexor and extensor patterns of major muscle groups in an attempt to correct
abnormal alignment (McMahon, Pruitt Vargus Adams, 2009). Wearing the suit along with intensive
physical therapy, and active motor participation by the patient for a certain amount of time and
frequency is meant to retrain normal muscle movement and improve sensory and proprioceptive
information in the brain (McMahon, Pruitt Vargus Adams, 2009). Suit therapy has been emerging as
an alternative therapy for cerebral palsy. We are researching whether or not suit therapy treats both

As a noted perfectionist, he would work hours on his children s books. He once stated, The creative
process boiled down to two things – time and sweat (qtd. in Krull 39). His writing style remained
unchanged throughout his lifetime; the way he wrote in general was a fill in the blank approach and
used whimsical language coupled with artless drawings (Kaplan). In several of his children s books,
Geisel adds more and more tension, building up to the climax only to end in an anticlimactic way. For
example, in The Cat in the Hat, suspense increases as the mess the Cat makes becomes unmanageable.
The illustrations add to this tension as the children s mother is set to arrive. However, just before she
enters the door, the mess is cleaned and sparkling new (Hurst). Although his writing style has
remained unchanged in his years of writing, Dr. Seuss was still able to make reading fun and
enjoyable to children. Theodor Geisel was among the first authors to put illustrations equal with text,
enabling his readers to follow the action and the story simultaneously (Kaplan). True to his eccentric
character and unique perspective, Seuss wanted to draw things as [he] saw them (Kaplan).

Abstract
This experiment uses Co(salen) as a model compound illustrating the uptake of oxygen in
hemoglobin. SalenH2 was prepared as the intermediate, and reacted with hydrated cobalt to prepare
Co(salen). Using Co(salen) the oxygen up take was tested. The synthesis of SalenH2 produced 0.65 g.
The percent yield of salenH2 was 116% on the filter paper and 105% after transferring salenH2 to a
vial. The melting point of salenH2, was 128 oC. The color of salenH2 was yellow. This was all
expected from salenH2. The synthesis of Co(salen) produced 0.232 g. The percent yield of Co(salen)

A pressure equalizer addition funnel, water condenser fitted with a T joint and an oil bubbler was all
added to the system( fig 2). The 25 mL Erlenmeyer flask was placed on top of a sand bath which was
heat from a hot plate. Next 12 mL of 95 % ethanol was added through the funnel. The mixture was
stirred and flushed with N2. A steady flow of N2 was maintained though the heating processes. A new
solution containing, 200 mg cobalt tetrahydrate, 1.5 mL of DI water, was placed into a 10 mL breaker.
This solution was added drop wise through the addition funnel to the salenH2 solution in the flask.
The system was heated for 1 hr while stirred. The flask was than placed into cold water. Co(salen) was
isolated by suction filtration using a Hirsh funnel. The Co(salen) was washed with 10 drops of 95 %
ethanol. The product was weighted and placed in a vial the was placed into an desiccators. Till the
following week for part C, determination of oxygen absorption by Co(salen). Determination of
Oxygen Absorption by Co(salen) At the bottom of a 2x 18 cm side arm test tube, 63.8 mg of Co(salen)
was added. Than using a graduated cylinder, 5 mL of DMSO was placed into a 25 mL breaker.
Oxygen was pushed thought the apparatus, the test tube with Co(salen) was slightly shaken to expose

Behaviour is something we acquire and shape it to fit our requirements. Behaviour is shaped by an
individual s interaction with culture and environment. This behavioural report will focus on the
undesired behaviour, which is the heavy internet usage. The report will aim to establish baseline,
monitor the behaviour and execute treatments to reduce and control the undesired behaviour. Internet
addiction is defined as the indulgent or overuse of the internet. Extreme internet use occurs daily in
my life, regardless during anytime of the day. The undesired behaviour that is the internet addiction
has to reduce the usage in order to have a positive impact on the life. The heavy internet usage has to
be reduced, and in its place introduce hobbies and time for study. Boredom is the main cause for the
need to use internet. In the internet there are comics, television shows and other activities that could
help elevate boredom. Due to the heavy internet use, socializing with family and friends have been
significantly reduced. The repeated heavy internet usage has an impact on the physical burden and

Treatment Data: Internet Usage vs. Study Time
The treatment plan was altered after a week, for three days. I increased the positive reinforcement of
awarding internet usage from two hours to three hours. The delayed positive reinforcement was
awarded at the end of the day. The increase of positive reinforcement did not change undesired
behaviour at all, the undesired behaviour was consistent. For the last four days all the treatment plans
were removed to observe the undesired behaviour without any reinforcements and punishments. The
monitored undesired behaviour was consistent throughout the behaviour modification experiment.

Peripheral Arterial disease is defined by the thickening of its walls with deposits of cholesterol and
lipids within the artery. The thickening of the arteries can lead to occlusion causing damage to the
arteries. It is seen in these patients for them to higher blood pressure because of the narrowing of the
arteries causes more pressure to pump blood to its tissue. Some damage caused by the lipids
