Analysis Of The Road Not Taken
The Road Not Taken is one of the simplest poems written by Robert Frost. It has 4 stanzas, with 5
lines each. The poem presents a crossroads at which the author finds himself. He concludes that both

similar, as described in the first line of the second stanza where the author states that they are just as
fair (Frost 6), which mirrors real life where people assume the grass is always greener. Frost further
alludes to this idea by stating in the first line of the third stanza, both that morning equally lay (Frost
11). He acknowledges that he might never come back again to the first path even though he hopes to.
In the fifth line of the fourth stanza, Frost admits that though he might want to come back to the path
one day, he knows he never will. He goes on to declare that he shall be saying it with a sigh (Frost 16).
Interestingly, he ends the short poem by stating that he took the road less traveled by and it made all
the difference (Frost 19 20). Consequently, this conclusion creates confusion in the mind of the reader.
Was the road less traveled, or were the two roads the same? It seems that at different points of his life,

Music was a large part of everyday life in Ancient Greece. The people thought of music as a gift from
their gods, associating different instruments with specific gods. Their term for music was not limited
strictly to vocal and instrumental melody, but referred to dance, lyrics, and even poetry reading. Music
was brought into many facets of life for Ancient Greek citizens, from weddings and funerals, to
banquets and religious festivals. Education and Drama were also parts of Ancient Greek life to which
music was integral.
Many of the instruments used in Ancient Greek music were thought to be created by the gods. The
lyre by Hermes, the aulos by Athena, and the panpipes by Pan. The nine muses personified the various
aspects of music in the broader sense of the term. Calliope represented epic poetry and rhetoric, Cleo s
domain was history, Erato signified singing, Euterpe represented lyric poetry, Melpomene s
significance was in singing tragedy, Polymnia s domain was hymns to the pantheon and to Greek

According to Gregor Mendel, he came across two different inheritances laws found in genes:
segregation and independent assortment. Mendel s Law of Segregation states that each individual gene
carries two alleles that segregate each allele into a different gamete during the phase of meiosis. The
offspring have two different alleles coming from each parent that passes one allele down to their
offspring. Mendel s Law of Independent Assortment states during meiosis the alleles of the two
