Stress Management Techniques
Body Awareness
Sit quietly and comfortably without crossing legs and arms,
close your eyes and focus on upper body . Search for any
movements .example your heartbeat , stomach ,breathing ,
scan your body for stillness , spend few minutes on these
exercise . it will help to aware of any tension discomfort in body
yoga
It is excellent stress relief technique ,it involves a series of both moving
and stationary causes combined with deep breathing .the physical and
mental benefits of yoga provide a natural counterbalance to stress and
strengthens the relaxation response in your daily life. it include deep
breathing and meditating exercises.
Mindful meditation
This is particularly effective at reducing stress ,anxiety , depression,
and other negative emotion . Mindfullness is quality of being fully
engaged in present moment without overthinking and analysing the
experience rather than worring about the future or dwelling on the
past.
Progressive muscle relaxation technique
It is useful for relaxing your body . When your muscle are in tension . The
idea behavior progressive muscle relaxation is that to tense a group of
muscles so that they are slightly contracted as possible . pmr is used two
step process which systematically tense and relax different muscle group
of body.
Body scan
Scanning promotes mindfullness by focusing your attention on
various parts of body like pmr start with your feet. however
instead of tensioning and relaxing your muscle you simply focus
on each part of body without labeling them good or bad.
Walking meditation
In walking meditation. it involve being focus on physicality of each Step,
the sensation of your feet touching the ground . the rhythm of your breath
by moving and feeling the wind against your face.
Mindful eating
We try to eat mindfully sit down at the table focus your full
attention on meal . means no Tv ,reading the newspaper on
eating ,on the run. Eat slowly taking time to concentrate on
each bite noticing that texture and taste of food.
Visualisation
Imaging is about imaging this could be inform of taking
yourself in the mind to the face where you feel relaxed . this
can be anywhere you like about beach ,grassland, a building
a roof etc. the more the person emerged in the process the
more relaxed the person feels.
Cognitive restructuring or reframing
It is straight thinking and logical analysis based on the
belief that the way we behave and respond to a situation
is based on the way we think .it help us to modify
unhelpful thought process pattern and beliefs .it help to
present anxiety provoking thought pattern in this thought
stopping techniques are used where the person
concentrate on unwanted thought after a short time
suddenly stop or empty the mind.

  • 5. Body Awareness Sit quietly and comfortably without crossing legs and arms, close your eyes and focus on upper body . Search for any movements .example your heartbeat , stomach ,breathing , scan your body for stillness , spend few minutes on these exercise . it will help to aware of any tension discomfort in body

  • 7. yoga It is excellent stress relief technique ,it involves a series of both moving and stationary causes combined with deep breathing .the physical and mental benefits of yoga provide a natural counterbalance to stress and strengthens the relaxation response in your daily life. it include deep breathing and meditating exercises.

  • 9. Mindful meditation This is particularly effective at reducing stress ,anxiety , depression, and other negative emotion . Mindfullness is quality of being fully engaged in present moment without overthinking and analysing the experience rather than worring about the future or dwelling on the past.

  • 11. Progressive muscle relaxation technique It is useful for relaxing your body . When your muscle are in tension . The idea behavior progressive muscle relaxation is that to tense a group of muscles so that they are slightly contracted as possible . pmr is used two step process which systematically tense and relax different muscle group of body.

  • 13. Body scan Scanning promotes mindfullness by focusing your attention on various parts of body like pmr start with your feet. however instead of tensioning and relaxing your muscle you simply focus on each part of body without labeling them good or bad.

  • 15. Walking meditation In walking meditation. it involve being focus on physicality of each Step, the sensation of your feet touching the ground . the rhythm of your breath by moving and feeling the wind against your face.

  • 17. Mindful eating We try to eat mindfully sit down at the table focus your full attention on meal . means no Tv ,reading the newspaper on eating ,on the run. Eat slowly taking time to concentrate on each bite noticing that texture and taste of food.

  • 19. Visualisation Imaging is about imaging this could be inform of taking yourself in the mind to the face where you feel relaxed . this can be anywhere you like about beach ,grassland, a building a roof etc. the more the person emerged in the process the more relaxed the person feels.

Cognitive restructuring or reframing It is straight thinking and logical analysis based on the belief that the way we behave and respond to a situation is based on the way we think .it help us to modify unhelpful thought process pattern and beliefs .it help to present anxiety provoking thought pattern in this thought stopping techniques are used where the person concentrate on unwanted thought after a short time suddenly stop or empty the mind.
