This document summarizes a research study on the strategies and problems students faced in learning English during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study identified technical problems, lack of communication, issues with material delivery, lack of motivation, and less detailed feedback as challenges. However, students also utilized strategies like focus group discussions, repetition, time management, and autonomous learning to improve their English skills during the period of online classes. The research provided insight into how the switch to online learning during the pandemic impacted English education.

3. Introduction
The Covid-19 pandemic affects various aspects of social life, one of the most visible
impacts is the impact in the realm of education. Learning activities change to online learning.
The application of online learning raises new strategies in learning and of course is followed
by problems in learning English.
The objectives of this research are to identify and analyze the problems faced by
students in improving their English skills during the online learning period and to identify
and analyze the learning strategies used by students in improving their English skills during
the online learning period.
This research is important because it will provide knowledge about strategies and
problems in learning English during the pandemic for the development of student learning
during online classes due to the pandemic and is expected to be able to fill the gaps in the
literature on that topic

7. Conclusion
In summarize, online learning class causes some problems for students. The first one is
technical problems, followed by lack of communication, material delivery, lack of motivation
and the last one is feedback is given in less detail. To overcome those problems many
students found out several learning strategies that suit them during online class. The first
learning strategy is focus group discussion, repetition, time management and the last one is
students become an autonomous learner.
