This is a presentation to co-operatives on strategic planning. The process of coming up with a strategic plan is as important as the final document. It is critical that co-operatives participate fully in drafting their own strategic plans and coming up with final document that they own and can implement.
Strategic plans are critical for co-operatives to prioritize what they want to achieve and within what time period.
Introduction to strategic planning
Dr. Salim Hajje conference about Strategic Planning, he helped many private companies & government organizations to formulate and implement their: Vision, Mission, KRA, Goals, Objectives, Tasks, Strategies &Tactics-
I developed this comprehensive strategy for doing business planning and long-term planning. It is based on some old and some new principles of strategy design which take a systems perspective to help organizations. It is not a cookie cutter approach to strategy and it is designed to help an organization both short and long term. Years of conducting strategic planning sessions with organizations and teaching strategic planning in college has taught me the need to integrate art and science in conducting strategy sessions. The best strategies are fluid and dynamic and able to respond to predictive and emergent opportunities. Good plans are a result of a good planning process. Plans must be adaptable and can never be cast in stone. If you want to talk to me further about how your organization can create more effective business strategies, please email me at persico.john@gmail.com or call me at 612-310-3803 or text me. The time spent with me might just be the best investment in your organization this coming year.

COVID-19 has seriously tested the resiliency and sustainability of organisations, especially those in the nonprofit sector. The pandemic has further exacerbated their already precarious state and many Civil society organisations (CSOs) are under immense pressure to operate, survive, and thrive, while maintaining independence and continually generating funds to pursue planned operations and command strong recognition and influence.
They have been forced to adapt or to abandon the game, to face adversity through innovation or to fail while trying. Organisational and individual preparedness to manage change was tested also and many had to unlearn and relearn, to find new ways of working and developing resilience amidst the pandemic.
Since financing is a key pillar of organizational sustainability, I was invited to strengthen participants understanding, knowledge and practice in mobilizing resources more creatively. Aside the traditional channel of funding, there are 12 proven models of mobilizing resources for any civil society organisations in Africa, no matter its size, staff or strength.
Refreshing Evaluation in Support of the Social Movements RevivalInnovation Network
There is a growing social consciousness in America and a revival of using social movements as a vehicle for social change—with increasing nonprofit involvement and philanthropic funding support. Since the mid-2000’s there have been several notable movements that have taken hold of the public consciousness: the immigration reform movement and DREAMers, The Occupy Movement, Gay Marriage, climate change movement, Black Lives Matter, and a nascent, potential movement developing in protest of the Trump Administration. While evaluating movements has some parallels to established evaluation practice, it also represents some thorny challenges. In a session presented at the American Evaluation Association Conference on November 10, 2017, we explore and share what we are learning about evaluating social movements, including: what we know about social movements, their components, characteristics, and types; what aspects of social movements are ripe for evaluation; and what existing evaluation approaches are well suited to evaluating social movements.

This presentation highlights entrepreneurs' identification of business opportunity without worrying about availability of resources; their non conformance to hierarchical and bureaucratic organizational processes; how entrepreneurship can be contrasted with traditional managerial roles in a business enterprise. Entrepreneurial behavior is starkly different - entrepreneurs focus on growing the business rather than pondering about improving organizational efficiency. Psychological traits and non psychological traits can be studied to understand their motivations as an entrepreneur. Their focus on 'value creation' is what sets them apart.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
