Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy founded in Athens by Zeno of Citium in the early 3rd century BC. The Stoics taught that destructive emotions resulted from errors in judgment, and that a sage, or person of "moral and intellectual perfection", would not suffer such emotions.
Stoicism is a school of thought in ancient Greek philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium. As is well known, because Zeno taught in a school that had a stoa poikile or “painted porch”, his philosophy came to be known as Stoicism. Zeno believed that the world is ruled by a divine plan and that everything in nature, including humans, exists for a reason. And for the Stoics, the most important expression of the notion of “divine plan” is the belief that whatever happens, happens for a reason. Hence, for the Stoics, there are no accidents, and that all must be accepted as part of the plan.

Descartes is a renowned name that is recognized by many as the father of current philosophy. He was also an accomplished mathematician and meta-physician. In his first meditation, he began with the method of distrust, questioning almost everything. In the beginning of his first meditation, Descartes tries to cast doubts on all his experimental views with a single stroke.

Down but never out: Bringing Change When Change Is HardTodd Charron
“How do you stay so calm? It’s like you’re a ROBOT!”
That’s what the Program Manager said to me after we came out of a particularly heated meeting.
Early on in my Agile career, I used to do battle with the best of them, but you can only fight so long before you burn out.
So instead, I changed myself.
The stoics believed that one of the things we can control is how we respond to situations.
In this session, we will examine coaching and change from the perspective of the stoics. We’ll learn to apply those ideas and techniques to the problems you are currently facing in changing your organization.
Remember, “We don’t control the barriers or the people who put them there. But we control ourselves-and that is sufficient” - Ryan Holiday

Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
https://bit.ly/BabeSideDoll4u Babeside is a company that specializes in creating handcrafted reborn dolls. These dolls are designed to be incredibly lifelike, with realistic skin tones and hair, and they have become increasingly popular among collectors and those who use them for therapeutic purposes. At Babeside, we believe that our reborn dolls can provide comfort and healing to anyone who needs it.
The Healing Power of Babeside's Handcrafted Creations
Our reborn dolls are more than just beautiful pieces of art - they can also help alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Studies have shown that holding or cuddling a soft object like a stuffed animal or a reborn doll can release oxytocin, which is often referred to as the "love hormone." This hormone helps us feel calm and relaxed, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety.
In addition to their physical benefits, reborn dolls can also offer emotional support. For many people, having something to care for and nurture can bring a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Reborn dolls can also serve as a reminder of happy memories or loved ones who have passed away.

actions rather than what happens in the uncontrollable external world.
We are responsible for our own happiness.

SOUMYTH 3
4. INTRODUCTION
▪ Stoicism minimizes the emotional suffering by controlling anger, fear and grief.
▪ In bad times, Stoicism shows the light which helps us to get back in our lives.
Epictetus asks,
Whenever we face any difficulty,
Remember the contest is now, and you are at the Olympics and you can’t wait any
longer.
Mastering Stoicism requires a lot of practice,
Theory helps us to make some initial moves but in the long run experience
helps us to grow better.
SOUMYTH 4
6. ▪ As trees become deep-rooted and sturdy when they encounter strong winds,
We also become stronger, calm, disciplined and humble by every challenge faced.
Art of Living
▪ Philosophy is an essential craft for who wants to learn how to live well.
▪ Stoic philosophy will help you deal more effectively with whatever challenge life throws at you.
▪ Stoic philosophy teaches us how to excel in life, prepares us to face adversity calmly and enjoy life.
▪ If we want to become good at living,
We must know “How to live”, and “apply that wisdom to everyday life”.
▪ Stoicism demands us to go out there in real world and vigorously apply what we have learnt.
SOUMYTH 6
8. Eudaimonia
▪ For Stoics, Eudaimonia is the Ultimate goal of life.
i.e., living in harmony with your ideal self, expressing your highest
version of yourself in every moment.
▪ We should close the gap between who were capable of being (our ideal self) and
who we actually are in that moment.
▪ Eudaimonia common translation is
It means that, you can only be good with your daimon when your moment-to-
moment actions are in harmony with your ideal self.
You will live well, only as a consequence of being Happy.
• Eudaimonia is a happy and smoothly flowing life that comes from thriving at
bringing our moment-to-moment actions into harmony with our highest self.
SOUMYTH 8
9. Emotional Resilience
Philosophy : – Making preparation to meet the things that come upon us.
▪ A boxer won’t leave the ring when gets punched, in the same way we should not
give up when life knocks us down, we should get back up and get better.
▪ A person who goes through various difficulties will get hardened by suffering and
can face anything.
▪ Strong emotions are our ultimate weakness; especially when we let them dictate
our behavior.
They’re toxic to eudaimonia and they’re at the root of all human suffering.
▪ To possess Eudaimonia we need to keep our emotions in check.
We need to tame our emotions, so that they solve our problems.
SOUMYTH 9
10. Taming Restricting Emotions
• We can deal life’s challenges only when we are emotionally resilient.
So, we need to make continual progress in taming and overcoming emotional
outbreaks.
• Stoic Philosophers had a proper understanding of our mind and developed
psychological techniques to prevent and deal with negative emotions.
Stoic Philosophers realized, for example, that what makes insults hurtful isn’t their
content, but our interpretation of those insults.
• Stoicism is about acknowledging our emotions, reflecting on what causes them,
and learning to redirect them for our own good.
• Just as there are ailments to the body, there are ailments to the mind.
It’s impossible to flourish in life while being tormented by irrational emotions.
• We need — The ability to overcome these interfering emotions.
SOUMYTH 10
11. Taming Restricting Emotions
• Strong emotions are like Inner wolf, we blindly follow it and act out like animal.
• We can train ourselves to act calmly despite feeling angry, act courageously
despite feeling anxious, and going east despite the wolf pulling west.
• We can tame the wolf and understand it and can choose to ignore to act on animal
instincts and act accordingly.
• Stoicism will help us get less plagued by negative emotions and, at the same time,
experience more positive emotions such as joy or tranquility.
• The goal Stoicism assigns to us is to be useful, to help others, and to take care, not
only of ourselves, but of everyone.
SOUMYTH 11
12. Euthymia
• Stoics recognized that strong emotions were their weakness and stood in their
way to live of what they’re capable of.
• Stoics seek Eudaimonia and experienced tranquility in the process.
Euthymia : - is all about knowing your path and walking that path.
• It’s the calm confidence you feel when you’re living your authentic self in integrity
with your highest values.
• Stoicism will give you many anchors to hold onto your ideal life style, which gives
you confidence to handle life as you like.
