STDs are sexually transmitted diseases spread through sexual contact and bodily fluids. Anyone who is sexually active can contract an STD, which may cause symptoms like sores or rashes or no symptoms at all. Common STDs include chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, genital warts, and HIV/AIDS. STDs can be prevented through abstinence or using condoms during any sexual contact to avoid transmission. It is important to take STDs seriously as some can permanently impact one's health if left untreated.

3. What are STD’s? STD’s are sexually transmitted diseases that are spread through bodily fluids from person to person. They are spread through vaginal intercourse, oral sex and anal sex. Some examples of STD’S are: Gonorrhea (females) (males) Chlamydia HIV/AIDS ( HIV/AIDS are almost never visible.) Herpes (genital warts)

4. Who can get STD’s? ANYONE who is sexually active.

5. Herpes can be transmitted through kissing. Oral sex and intercourse. Sometimes there may be symptoms such as warts. Other times there may be no symptoms at all. Chlamydia/gonorrhea are transmitted through oral sex and intercourse as well as mother to infant transmission through birth. (This disease can affect the woman’s reproductive system permanently if it’s not caught early, and may prevent future child birth.) HIV/AIDS can be spread through blood transmission and sexual activity. How can you get STD’S?

6. How can you prevent STD’S? To prevent getting a sexually transmitted disease, practice abstinence because it is the best prevention. Avoid sex with anyone who has genital sores, a rash, discharge or other symptoms. unprotected sex is only safe if you and your partner have sex only with each other, and if it's been at least six months since you each tested negative for STDs.

7. STD’S are real and should be taken seriously. It affects everyone. Always practice Safety through abstinence or condoms. You don’t want to get something that is irreversible.
