This document provides instructions for adding external learning resources from the National Learning Network database into an online course in the STC Live system. It outlines the steps to search for materials from NLN, preview a selected resource, and insert the link to that resource into a course page. The goal is to learn how to access and utilize pre-made educational content from an external source within the STC Live online course platform.

5. Add an IMS Content Package 1 This is the window that opens... 2 Clicking on "Add an IMS Content Package" enables you to insert a ready-made lesson from the national learning network site. 6. Give the resource a name which will be clear to students Click on " browse repository " (see next page) Don't forget to change this to "new window"

7. This is the window that opens... click on " nln-materials -new ", and the window below opens. 1 Click on your area... 2

8. ... and you will see the list of resources available. Click " Preview " to see the resource (or “ choose ” if you already know you want it)

9. Click “ start” to view the lesson ( make sure your PC has the volume up ) If you've seen enough and you want the lesson, click " choose "

10. If you decide you don't want this lesson, click " back " to browse again Click on another section of the lesson to jump ahead

11. If you click “ choose” , you get back to this page, and the resource link is entered here Click " save and return to course "

12. Ask for your IT champion to arrange to have your students e-enrolled on the STC Live course, and you're ready to start using the page for induction & support material, as activities in lessons or for homework, for student socialisation, as a revision archive and more...
