نشر الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات ومؤسسات المكتبات على موقعه بالإنترنت وثيقة بعنوان Multilingual Dictionary of Cataloguing Terms and Concepts http://www.ifla.org/publications/multilingual-dictionary-of-cataloguing-terms-and-concepts-muldicat في سبتمبر 2010؛ تتضمن ما يقرب من 43 مصطلح ومفهوم في الفهرسة مع الترجمة إلى 27 لغة، لتكون مرجعا مشتركا موحدا في ترجمة مؤلفات الاتحاد مثل FRBR، FRAD، ISBD. وبمراجعة هذه القائمة، يلاحظ ترجمة بعض المصطلحات تختلف عما هو مستخدم أو متداول في الإنتاج الفكري العربي لمجال المكتبات والمعلومات، ، مع وجود اختلافات بسيطة في النص المترجم من الإنجليزية إلى العربية. والجدول التالي مشتق من الجدول الرئيسي ويتضمن فقط المصطلحات الإنجليزية وما يقابلها باللغة العربية.
