Location of Andalusia
What do you know about Andalusia?
We have very good temperatures
in summer.
We enjoy the pools and the beach.
We have awesome cities like Córdoba “this is my city”,
Granada or Seville and we have beautiful horses.
We dance and play Flamenco and other folklore music.
I’m going to tell you some interesting things about
Sevillanas Dance
Sevillanas are a type of folk music and dance from Seville.
They were derived from an old Spanish folk music and
were influenced by Flamenco. They are based on a
three tempos rhythm. There is an associate dance for
the music: “Baile por sevillanas”.
Sevillanas are danced by couples of all ages and sexes.
Sevillana choreography is very stable and knowing it is
very useful, since it is a festival dance. Sevillanas are rich
in lyrics based on country life, love...
Sevillanas can be heard mainly in fairs and festivals,
including the famous Seville Fair, La Feria de Sevilla.
One can find schools teaching “baile por sevillanas” in nearly
every town in Spain and all around the world
