San Isidro Labrador is a traditional spring festivity celebrated in Villaviciosa, Spain in honor of old farmers. The festivities include a band playing music through the streets in the morning, a mass of rosemary, and neighbors invited to drink wine. Later, pilgrims spend a joyful day under trees enjoying horse exhibitions, games, food, drink and socializing with friends and neighbors. In the afternoon, the saint is received at the village entrance with enthusiasm as neighbors dance through the streets accompanying the saint back to the temple.

3. What is San Isidro Labrador?
San Isidro Labrador is a traditional festivity in Villaviciosa.
It is celebrated in honour of the old farmers of Villaviciosa.
It is celebrated in May.

4. What is done in this tradition?
The morning starts with a band of music that plays through the streets
of the locality and later, around 10:30 , in the square of my village,
people go to the place where this tradition is celebrated.
After the mass of rosemary, the titular brotherhood invites all the
neighbors who visit the saint to a glass of wine.

5. Later, in the shade of the trees, the pilgrims spend a joyful day,
enjoying the exhibitions and dressage of the horses, playing the
‘tango’ ( a popular game ) , eating, drinking and talking with friends
and neighbors.
In the afternoon the saint is received at the
entrance of the village with special joy and enthusiasm. The
neighbors accompany the saint to the temple as they dance through
the streets of the village, at the end of the saint's entrance to the
temple, the neighbors continue the feast in the central square of
Villaviciosa.
