In Brazil there are different Carnival celebrations around the country.
The most famous festivals are:

São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro
Annully Samba Schools's Parade take place in
São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
These parades occur in Sambodrómos.

Bahia - Salvador Street Carnival
The Salvador Carnival begins 6 days before
Ash Wednesday.
In 2005, it was considered the largest street
carnival in the world by the Guinness Book.
There are three main circuits: Dodo (Barra-
Ondina), Osmar (Wide Avenue Field
Seven) and Batatinha (Old Town).
In Salvador singers sing on top of a truck
called Trio Eletrico and revelers follow
these trios.
Olinda - Pernambuco
In Olinda, Pernambuco, the party is
recognized worldwide by parades of
"Olinda dolls" - figures of more than two
meters, colorful and easy to find, coming
out to the streets with revelers -. It is held
in the historic city center. Bringing together
more than a million people during the
event, attended by more than 500 carnival
groups.
Recife - Street Carnival
In Recife the party is diverse and bringing the
junction between street carnival, carnival
parades and performances of singers and
musical groups on stage.
Recife has the largest Carnival group in the
world, the Galo da Madrugada, which
appears on carnival Saturday or "Zé Pereira
on Saturday."
Manaus - Amazonas
The main events of Manaus is the traditional
costume parade, (which happens near the
historic center of Manaus), and the Carnaboi.
The Carnaboi is the event closes Manauara
carnival that is inspired by the Parintins
Folklore Festival.
Ouro Preto - Minas Gerais
The Ouro Preto Carnival is the most
traditional carnival of Minas Gerais.
Ouro Preto has the participation of several
carnival groups that gather in the Square
Tiradentes.
There is also the oldest carnival group from
Brazil - "Ze Pereira dos Lacaios", founded in
1867, which animate the party with its
catitões (Giant Puppets).
