1. Introduction of creating a public
relations disaster information
web site quickly
using the OSM
Yoichi Kayama
2. Self-introduction
Charter member of OSGeo
A member of OSGeo.JP
A member of GISA Japan(also a member of
FOSS4G SIG)
Coordinator of QGIS Japanese GUI
translators
Working as GIS programmer and researcher
at Aero Asahi Corporation

3. AERO ASAHI CORPORATION is ..
A Company belonging to the Toyota
Group.
Our work is based on the operation of
the helicopter and survey
I work for a department that
conducted the survey
18. At the Great East Japan Earthquake
Both data were cowork
19. Last year 3.11 we experienced a terrible
earthquake ever
20. There were many damage and confusion
in the Tohoku and Kanto region
職場 埼玉県川越市
通勤経路 約30km
中央線
西武国分寺線
西武新宿線
電車で合計約1時間
自宅 東京都立川市
21. The day the earthquake occurred
I had plan to participate in a study
session to be held at the University
of Tokyo
22. when I was trying to go out
earthquake occurred
23. We have a variety of difficulties in
the Kanto region
Railroad did not run
We could not use the phone(but we
were able to data communication)
Planned outage is carried out
We were not able to obtain gasoline.
So Use of the vehicle becomes difficult
24. The day after the earthquake 3.12
Our company had made an emergency
shot of the affected areas to fly a plane
28. Request of Geospatial Information
Authority of Japan,Some Surveying
companies took a photograph of
the affected areas
GSI had released Internet images that have
been delivered. And GSI had permitted the use
of secondary public image.
Initially exposed image has not been geo-
referenced.
These images geo-reference had been carried
out by volunteers who call for OSGeo.JP
36. After few days ,many services about
the disaster had launched
Using GSI images
37.
38. After few days from the disaster
Aero Asahi Corporation had published 6
pictures about disaster on the web page.
39. I started the preparatory work to
create a WEB page for the public
relations disaster information
Mar 24th,I had got
permission from
people in my
company to create a
new company WEB
page .
Then I published
first version of the
web pages, Mar 29th,
using Amazon EC2.
45. Published Oblique photoes of disaster
situation with location information using
GeoJSON
GeoJSON →JSON with Spatial
Enhancements
JSON (JavaScript Object
Notation) method of data
representation in the form of key-value
in JavaScript. Often used to pass data
between programs. Read and write is
possible OGR library
In OpenLayers,we can use GeoJSON
data as URL.
46. I've added the ability
to use some mashupes
Used Fundamental Geospatial Data WMS
service from The National Agriculture and
Food Research Organization s
National Research Institute for Earth
Science and Disaster Prevention had
started WMS service of ortho photo,
about the area ,taken after the
earthquake
Vertical photograph the coast of Ibaraki
Prefecture ,taken by Aeroasahi after the
earthquake
49. I've created
the Disaster information finder
If the user specifies an address ,parallel
search of disaster related information to
the address you specify will be executed.
Results are such as Vertical photograph
Oblique photo
Google Web Search
Google Image search
Google Video Search
Search for Sinsai.Info
55. System configuration after adding
multi-search function

57. Using OSM and FOSS4G(Free and open
we can publish such
source software for geospatial),
site quickly
Without Open Data and Open source
software , we could not make a such a
web site using geographic information.
If you have PC and internet connection,
You can publish your information with
geographic information.
So making open data is very important!!

59. IN CONCLUSION
Use of cloud-based computing and FOSS4G are
useful for quickly publishing web site using map
OSM that are freely available to benefit a lot of
people very. Have benefited, including
enterprise and government organizations as
well as individuals and communities.
